I once worked at a hockey arena where we would convert the rink for lacrosse use, first by putting down a layer of plywood sheets on the ice, then topping that with artificial turf which came in big, heavy rolls several feet wide requiring at least a few people to get them to move. That was how we did it in the 80s, anyway.🇨🇦

Fun fact, Turf Grasses are the single most crop grown in the World. 2) Grass on fields, have to treated with fertilizers, Pesticides, herbacides making it an environmental disaster. Furthermore, turf grass absorbs less CO2 than any other species of grass on Earth.
