Our South-Korea trip continues with a bus-tour from Seoul to the Seoraksan National park, with a stop in between at Nami-Island. It's going to be a busy day!
Nami-island is a beautiful small island in the north of South-Korea and it takes about 1,5 hour to get there from the city center of Seoul. Even though we were during low-season (there wasn't much to do there yet) we enjoyed taking a stroll around the island and recording our own drama intro, which you'll see at the end of the vlog ;).
Seoraksan National park was almost the complete opposite of Nami-island. The vast amount of nature and tall mountains is incredible. We didn't expect any snow there, but there was still tons of it in March! So be prepared if you're visiting in early spring. Even though we weren't able to climb up to the astonishing rock formation called Ulsanbawi-rocks, we were able to take the cable cart up for a fantastic view over the mountain-range and I did a little hike over there. The temple and the huge Buddha statue in the valley are also a must-see in the Seoraksan National park. Due to the low-season, there weren't many people around, so it was such a nice and quiet experience. We would love to go back for at least a full week over there, to do some more hikes and exploring the area.
It was already getting pretty late when we arrived back in Seoul. So we were starving for dinner and had to try out Korean Fried Chicken at least once before leaving Seoul. And it was such a treat!
Hope you enjoyed the vlog as much as we did traveling around the northern part of South-Korea. See you soon in the next one, where we are going to head south!
