@xinxianshi
@xinxianshi 20 күн бұрын

Have no doubt about it, whether in the US, Canada, Germany, Australia etc, cars are being repaired like this by backyard dodgy repairers everyday. Unless you were an expert you would never know. They get sold, end up in an Auction then brought by an unsuspecting smaller car sales yard, then sold to the public. Then essentially lost in the system. Years down the track when something happens, guess what everyone denies knowledge of repairs or doing the repairs and the dodgy repairers are long gone.

Your concern highlights a significant issue in the automotive industry, particularly with the potential for substandard repairs and the resale of repaired vehicles without proper disclosure. It's unfortunate that some individuals engage in unscrupulous practices, compromising the safety and well-being of future vehicle owners. Ensuring the transparency of repair history and the disclosure of significant repairs is crucial to maintaining safety standards and consumer trust. In many regions, there are laws and regulations in place to address these issues, and it's essential for consumers to be aware of their rights and for the industry to adhere to ethical practices.

Typically, if a vehicle has been through a major collision and received extensive restoration, some may question whether the restored vehicle is capable of meeting safety standards comparable to its original condition. In this case, it may be considered that the vehicle is no longer suitable for normal road use and may even present a potential safety risk. Overall, there are legitimate concerns about vehicle safety, and it's crucial to understand the vehicle's history and structural condition when purchasing or restoring a vehicle. This also highlights the need for transparency and accuracy in a vehicle’s restoration history so that future owners can make informed decisions.

There is NOTHING masterful about that repair. Everything done to that wrecked vehicle in the name of bodyshop repair was wrong. All major and some minor body panels are spot welded in place and to do a competent repair requires drilling and or punching out said welds. Cutting the damaged area with a torch is the wrong way to remove panels not mention the heat will weaken surrounding areas. And let's talk about joining cut pieces of metal together without "sistering" adjoining pieces for strength and reggidity.

In the video, the repair focused on the external body panels and structural components of the car. The inner structure, which includes the frame, support beams, and other critical elements, wasn't explicitly shown. However, when repairing extensive damage like this, it's essential to assess and, if necessary, repair the inner structure to ensure the vehicle's overall safety and structural integrity. The decision to repair a damaged car or purchase a new one depends on various factors, including the extent of the damage, the cost of repairs, the car's current value, and personal preferences. In some cases, extensive repairs might cost more than the car's value, making it more economical to consider purchasing a new or used vehicle. However, individuals may choose to repair a car for sentimental reasons, if it has unique features, or if they are attached to it. It's essential to weigh the costs and benefits and make an informed decision based on individual circumstances.

Bottom line, that motor should never see the highway again. The integrity of the body shell is compromised, in an accident it would fold like a pack of cards. Your observation about the compromised integrity of the body shell and potential safety concerns is important. Ensuring the structural integrity of a vehicle is crucial for both the driver's safety and the safety of others on the road. In many countries, including the UK, there are strict regulations regarding vehicle safety and repairs. If such a repair were to compromise the safety of the vehicle, it could indeed have legal consequences, and selling such a car without proper disclosure might lead to serious consequences. as regras e regulamentações sobre a divulgação de danos passados em veículos podem variar. Em alguns casos, se um carro foi declarado sinistrado, isso deve ser refletido na documentação e, geralmente, precisa ser divulgado ao comprador. Isso é importante para garantir a transparência na transação de veículos usados.

Perhaps this abortion of a car crash, may have been better performed if the clowns were given instructions in the use of the previously mentioned tool.

@@xinxianshi Structural points were damaged in the accident. They were restored by assembling from small parts. Heating with a torch and hot pulling of important components is not allowed in the repair. The amount of putty used for finishing is similar to plastering a house. Each element has putty used. The time spent rebuilding the body - in Europe - would many times exceed the value of the rest of the car. The vehicle rebuilt in this way does not meet any safety standards.

This car is worthless and isn't fit to be put back on the road. Even if you think that it's actually OK to have this many splices in the structural panels, the way it was welded makes the repair unsafe. 21:43 This is one of many problems I have with this repair. Welding the structural panels this way will burn the primer on both sides of that piece in ll 3 layers!. No weld through primer was used on the other side either. Corrosion will srart on both sides and will, in year, perforate and compromise the structure and safety of the car. The correct way to fix this is either to use a new or used complete body shell or to replace the strucrural pieces by welding it layer by layer using weld through primer.at the welding areas. This takes more time but will give a safe result. I'm sorry but this is a complete fail in my opinion.
