This is why they think there's a patriarchy - because when they try to create that value and fail, they think there's some secret boy's club. I then went on to create 2 companies, and one of them hit a value of 3.5 million in 2 years. Again, I was just lucky because I was man according to the women. Kevin thanks for putting the spotlight on how society views stepfathers. I was married for 12 years and raised my a stepson. His father lived less than 20 miles away but wasn’t in his life (visiting him twice a year). I prayed with and for him, and raised him from ages 5 to 19. I taught him how to work, save/invest, drive, manage a house, get into college, etc. I attend all his sporting events, school activities, parent conferences, etc. I didn’t do it for praise but I genuinely wanted him to be his best and have what most black boys don’t have.. fatherhood. With all that said, his mother hated when I held him accountable, corrected, or disciplined him. She was fine with me as long as I didn’t correct him. She’d get mad at me for wanting to discipling him, instead of at him for the stupid things he’d do (dropped out of college, laziness, etc.). It was a major factor in my separation/divorce. My stepfather experience was a nightmare. Maybe not everyone’s experience, but being a stepdad is tougher than most realize.

On his live streaming days when you’re waiting for the show to start and that theme song comes on… you start doing a little jig and you get excited because you know it’s going to be a great show. @@akassasin5768 By High earning, I mean 100k+in today's world. 60k 15-30yrs ago was a lot and today it's just barely middle income if you're single and childless. Social Media has helped condition americans, moreso black women, to believe that life is solely about securing the bag either yourself or through a 100k+ man and anything less, as this woman put it, is "miserable". She thinks because her brother was a sucker for a lady, that someone should be a sucker for her; not so. At least her brother got a kid even though he has to be a step-dad to four other's. Her guy can't even get a kid, can't discipline hers, and has to take care of all 3 of them; sounds like a horrific deal.

@wilroyal80653 жыл бұрын
@Curly Cocoa I understand where you are coming from; but you have a totally specialized situation. Kevin has spoken about your case, you were a widow not a baby mama; there is a huge difference. You had a family unit in tact, unfortunately it was torn apart. You had already had a man who had committed to you, so when you decided to open yourself up again, you get judged differently on the market. I know it could all be fallacy; just commenting on what I saw.

Love the fact Kevin uses probabilities/ statistics when giving advice as this really puts things into perspective. Alot of women who call seem to be thinking more in terms of fantasy than pure logic. I believe young women with no kids need to listen to such and all young men as well. Life lessons!

I remember Primerica running me down online around 18-19yrs old in the early 2000s. Went to their ra-ra seminar they do to try to hook ppl. It took me 1hr to figure out it was bs. I remember the other men sitting around me walking out even b4 I did & the women continuing taking notes prepping to be taken for a ride. Godfather, yet again, remains undefeated
@MrQuis0033 жыл бұрын
They hit me up around the same time. I read the job description and "potential earnings" and decided right then and there it was bs. I even told my friend it was trash but he didn't listen and took a months worth of L's. We were just laughing about it recently.

Yep. I was introduced to it earlier this year. Just like with Forex, I had this feeling that it was BS in my gut and all these seminars had a bunch of feel good and manifest stuff in it. I shut that down while I was not that deep. Then it gets psychological with them too.
