to be fair Boeing 737 family is quiet an older aircraft from 60 years, and most of these aircrafts are like 25-10 years old meaning they may start have some maintances issues, its not just boeing there are plane companies with older planes having same problem, with larger aircrafts

@@shepardbook I speculate it was a double misfortune during the first go around procedure. *Maybe* they lost the #2 engine for a moment and managed to get it back up (maybe after a restart) and *maybe* the #1 also failed during the ordeal, *maybe* due to bird strike as well and due to both engines having different functions in the hydraulic redundancy system, this would explain why they had no flaps extended, also no landing gear extended, and why the #2 engine (which failed first spewing fireballs on final approach and caused the first go around) had the reverse open (as seen in the video) and the #1 engine not (if you zoom in you can see the reverse on #1 engine was closed, *maybe* because it was shut down due to a catastrophic failure that led to the landing gear or flaps not extended - I don't remember which engine is responsible for flaps and which is for the landing gear); and having both engines failing almost at the same time, even if they had the #1 shut down and #2 back on with lower power, they had little to no time to follow the whole procedures and landed anyway they could - and they should have succeeded with minimum to no casualties, if not for the absurd thick armed concrete wall at the end of the runway; that concrete wall is a crime! The only Boeing problem would be that their redundancy system is not so redundant and robust after all.

it seems like the hydraulic systems (3 interconnected) cannot coop with certain engine problems so t sensors give wrong input to the flight computer, and hence strange or faulty warnings in the cabine. not pulling manual landing gear is symptom of overloaded pilots it is clear that they wanted to land ASAP, as the electronics were functionaly dead
