I worked in a cabinet shop for many years and the owner, my cousin, got a great deal on 6 different old, used camping trailers. Over the years we slowly renovated them. Anytime the work was slow we’d work on them. They always sold quick and for a big profit and one was kept behind the shop for guys to use if we needed it, not to camp in but if we were in the dog house, our car broke down or we just needed a place to crash. Watching this brings back so many memories.

You two got some skills! That kitchen area is so well designed and stunning to see. We redid our fifth wheel a year or so ago but no real carpentry other than tearing out the settee and couch and put in real furniture. I am so happy we did it, it makes me smile every time I walk in. I'd say to people who don't have a lot of skill, just paint, paint everything, just do it. 😅 I primed every inch of what I painted and it's holding up really well. You won't be sorry. 😁

Hey girl, with your talent you don’t need to let that couch intimidate you. If you can get your hands on a heavy duty sewing machine, doesn’t need to be industrial but that would be the easiest for thick fabric. You can redo that couch yourself! It’s no more complicated than any of the work you have already done. Just take it apart systematically and label your pieces to use as templates for cutting the new material. There are a lot of videos out there to help, you can do it!

I don’t know if you’re aware but you may need positive latches on all your drawers and cupboard doors. Otherwise after you tow that trailer for the first time you may find all them have come open when you get where your going. Just a hint. You’ve done an amazing job renovating that trailer. It looks fantastic!!

Hi Juliana! Great work on your trailer! Kudos to your brother and dad for the help and guidance, too. I am very impressed with everything you did. One thing you should seriously consider is to get your camper weighed at a truck stop and to upgrade your tires from the stock ones. The weight is important so you know how much you can tow "dry," and the tires are important because most manufacturers don't use very good tires on their trailers. You might also want to look into a upgraded power converter and solar. Once again great work and God bless!

If that thing has the factory tires on it, they would be 30 years old and long over due for changing anyway. It should be weighed to make sure that the axle rating is still adequate.

Awesome! I did a $500 truck camper (1970 model) that I bought January 2023. I've been covering it on my channel but it is sooo hard to do all this work and edit and load it. You did an amazing job and I can totally appreciate not just the excellent restoration work but the video work. I'm doing the re-do and upgrades since using it this Summer so back under the knife. I will eventually do a start to finish as well - I'm sure it was so satisfying for you to do that and see it all again with your own eyes.

That is such a transformation!!! Great job yall! Really like how you made it your own and the space saving and the bright colors really open it up. I know it cost some money for the materials but I bet you still came out way better than buying a newer model. Trust me I know! I paid nearly 30k for my 21ft Coleman and regret it every month I make a payment. I should've done this because I can do stuff like this and with my wife's decor taste we could've saved thousands.
