On Jan. 1, 1975, Nixon administration officials John Mitchell, John Ehrlichman, H.R. Haldeman and Robert Mardian were found guilty of conspiracy, obstruction of justice and perjury in the Watergate cover-up trial. In this CBS News Special Report “The Watergate Verdict,” those convicted provide their statements on the ruling. CBS News also reviewed key moments from the trial. CBS News correspondents Barry Serafin, Fred Graham, Jed Duvall and Phil Jones report on various sides of the story.

@@drumtwo4seven doubtful it will be that fast. It took years for gov Snyder to be called to court for the Flint water crisis. He wasn't found criminally liable but he is still being sued over it.

Halderman never regretted his actions. I believe Erlichman did say he did, but crooks are always regretful once they are caught!

The Nixon/Kissinger commissioned CIA Coup in Chile, removing their democratically elected leader Salvador Allende (9/11/73) was given a free pass.

Most got only 2 years in prison! A few for five. None served their full sentences! Nixon was pardoned! This is why we are here now! I knew that then…I was 12!

G Gordon Liddy kept his mouth shut and served his entire sentence. Nixon loved him for his loyalty.

@@terrencekane8203 what was his reward for his loyalty? Nevermind, I looked him up. He went on to do various projects for money it seems. He never held public office since and died about years ago.
