Thanks for sharing. Finding a balance between quiet, peace, simplicity and solitude and having community and "doing" is challenging everywhere, I think. I even have trouble transitioning from summer to fall and winter because the summer is a time to relax and savor life and when the fall comes I feel the conditioned call to "get back at it", whatever that is. Maybe that's why I prefer living somewhere where fall and winter never come lol...but of course anywhere we go there are rhythms to life and nature. You mentioned the rainy season which of course brings such a different energy and routines than when it's warm and sunny out all the time.

Girl I love everything you said about conditioning, fears and your spiritual awakening! I had my awakening a few years ago and have been called to moved to Costa Rica or possibly Panama, so I’ll be in CR in January!! Hi👋, thank you for posting this experience, I'm costarrican, but I live in the states for over 16 years, so coming back here was not any different from what you described...and even when my whole family lives here, I have other beliefs , other cultures, and it has also been quite an adjustment for me, especially finding those friends that will be "your tribe" help you feel rooted...and also financially, I have been adjusting to minimalistic...but like you said, it is a mind set, the way you decide that you can do it, and appreciate the abundance that you can find here, overcoming challenges can be very rewarding.

Enjoying watching your video! you have a great message and energy, so very true, go for it!! I have a similar frame of mind like you do, however I am a lot older, have a great job and a home that I love and a very sick husband. Not so easy to leave even though my inner spirit whisper to do it.. see what happens in the near future.. I loved Costa Rica and can't wait to go back. it has to be next Sept. so quite some time to wait... Pura Vida:)

Hi Julie, I’m here now and I’m checking out 3 areas of Costa Rica,1st is the Tambor area and then off to Quepos to a short drive from there to check out a community and finally Cachi to check out that area. I’m hoping I find what I’m looking for so when I leave to go back to Canada it’s to pack my belongings and leave for good. I’m happy that you are happy.😊

We live in a house in a suburb of San Jose and it's a nice house; but I have bars and barbed wire as part of the exterior decoration witch would shock people that aren't use to it; but when I sleep at night and I hear a bump at night I don't worry because you couldn't break into my house without a blow torch and the Central Valley weather is pleasant no need of AC or heaters or a car and is very convenient although it's not as beautiful as living in a rainforest so like you said get to know the country to see all of the many options of lifestyles it has to offer. pura vida
