Lexington & Concord, a memorial grave here of multiple Minutemen KIA, plus another in memory of a British soldier KIA . There are so many graves here of people born in the 1600s, that I don't often specifically note the 1600s date like I've done in other videos.
In this video, there are Lieutenants, Captains, and Deacons, as well as veterans of the Revolutionary War, including Captain Parker, Commander of the Minutemen. And multiple victims of a Smallpox outbreak.
This is part 1 of 4 on this channel of Lexington & Concord historical cemeteries, and covers The Old Burying Cemetery plus the much smaller Robbins Cemetery, both in Lexington.
Some of the more interesting given names from this cemetery: Dorcas, Benoni, Bethiah, Beulah, Olive, Caira, Philemon, Ebenezer, Lot, and Hopstill.
Some of the bigger surnames here include Fisk, Brown, Stone, Reed, and Robbins.
My favorite name from this video: Philenia Mixer.
More historical videos to come soon covering this area.
