I got one name: Apocalipse and its like, basicly a copperhead with 2 nukes, that flyes like a flying squirrel, cause god knows if anything can hit it, and once the battle starts, if the enemy have a chaos, just set all to target it and throw the Apocalipse right there on the front of the front of the battle, so it will just rush the Chaos, kill the ai and after that, profit

I heard it...and a lot more bullshit, most what you will hear is. You can't fight fire with fire - and chaos can't fight chaos...as you can see. On side note, you can't fight light with light, but can't fight darkness with light either, as they are not in conflict. But cultist of chaos whould not know that.

He could if utlize docking grips and a hovecraft that rises other tanks above for time of a battle... This is one of they ways to bypass volume limit somewhat - one of reasons its not used as i understand, as this cast is about lore-friendly gameplay without "cheese".

you may think that long "barrels" are aesthetically unappealing but I find them to be both interesting and amusing. Therefore I don't mind builds that have long barrel cannons as they look like they can reach out and hit targets at extreme ranges.

high ap, low to the ground lasers are indiscriminate eraser tools. If you put them in the air (on a blimp like I like to do) you erase alot less friendlies because of the angle ;)

It's very weak unless you are going for a larger shell type due to low EMP count per shell, the only weapon we are using right now which could be countered by shields are the AC cannons themselves which are currently using shells which bypass the shields using their fuses and fragments anyway so theres just no need for them.

Not really, sadly! The fragment shells have 91-93% of their damage from the fragments themselves and only at most 9-7% from the shells actual kinetic value so over 90% of the damage always ignores shields. So even If only 1 in 10 shots were replaced with the anti-shield EMP shell it would still be a damage loss, along with the fact that the disruptor head actually lowers the EMP damage of the shell It's attached to, so those shells would be near worthless against anything but shields. and this is assuming that 1 in 10 shells changed to the anti-shield shell tip would reliably quickly take down the shields and allow the 7-9% extra kinetic damage from the frag shells, which is quite unlikely, along with the disruptor head having very low AP and base kinetic value due to the EMP warheads needed.

shiva chirr - The fragments spawn after the shield due to the inertial fuse being set off upon the shields deflect, allowing for the damage to pass right through (This was covered in great detail when the Cultist and Bloodletter were both first created.) and since true stacking shields no longer work as they used to, Its very rare for that to be an issue, along with the fact anything with such huge amounts of shields would be pretty safe against the distruptors unless used in a VERY high amount which would result in the bloodletter's damage to be very very reduced. Even in the case of the resource gatherer of the Steel Empire which had near double shield coverage everywhere the fragment shells still went straight through and ultimately defeated it.

16:31: no, friendly fire happens all the time :P It's funny because of all the weapon types, laser is probably the only one that could have a relatively-low-effort anti-teamkill function. It just needs to check a straight line in front of it, after all. Failsafes already do that, and failsafes aren't as laggy as they used to be. Also, I think the Beholder got focused down more than the Chaos in that fight, plus it might have a higher ratio of weapons to armor/speed. Given how much punishment it did, I'd say they're pretty comparable. That is, both are terrifying. Just in different ways.

Error Error Nah, they never did, AFAIK. They only work on your own vehicle- in fact, if you start messing around with enough turrets/subobjects, you'll see that they only check for the main body of said vehicle. They're less laggy because they use a simpler check now.

A few Ideas for the Crull, put ammo in the front or sides of the craft as when it gets chased it seems to detonate easily, also putting the missiles in a simple turret might let it hit enemies in close proximity easier.

I think you should try to make multiple super powerful ramming ships to try and take out the chaos. The chaos seems to do insane amounts of damage with that ram and I think making your own ramming ship wouldn't be bad :)

about the shriven laser optics - maybe pull the combiners back a bit and have part of the optics in the turret? would probably still look a bit weird but the optics wouldn't stick out as much, and part of them would be better protected.

Lathrix, would it be worthwhile adjusting the detection system of the Shriven to increase the speed that it updates the current position of enemies? Given the continuous laser is often lagging behind an enemy that's moving quickly, it seems like it might help to keep the beam hitting the target.

I wonder if HEAT warheads would do the trick against the White Flayers. They have no reactive armor and missiles seem to often bypass shields. Though if I'm wrong I'd like an explanation as to why, I'm still learning to how to build vehicles in this game, much less ones designed for combat.

hey lath, just a few things: 1. i will be so disappointed in you if you don't capture the chaos 2. use a sub vehicle spawner to hold the capture vehicle and have it spawn and keep alive at least one(i don't know how well this is going to work). 3.(if no. 2 works) make the capture vehicle a rocket bike with a much weaker version of the blood letter's cannon. yes, i believe you can make something that awesome. 4. have fun and goodluck

They are already flying high enough, IF they have not taken a hard hit to the PID/Thrusters. so the Chaos already is pretty useless aside from its particel cannon. Also making them hover higher would result in a loss of Minium range, as enemies could simply drive under them.

Hey Lath, could you try... StarMade? Its kinda similar to From the Depths, though it's in space and is harder to automate (stuff has to be CRAFTED (or bought) and not built from resources). Also there is a LARGER map, different planets and cargo/inventory system.

I will NEVER understand the point of continuous laser weapons. They serve absolutely no purpose other than being a challenge to get to work, because, consistently, they do not. Except when they are mounted on enemy vessels. Then they work perfectly...

At the beginning of the battle it should be taking fire from the front. He probably hoped it wouldn't be chased and would only have to worry about long range fire and missiles, which would hit from the front.

It had the fuel refinery there originally, it is at the back due to the crull only turning around very rarely and normally broadsiding at 1500m away, the front and sides are exposed far more often.
