Well there's the heartstone rule .. but you can always build new heartstones as long as you have resources available.. And "centralized" resources kind of are not centralized as they are available anywhere..

I found that a great way to prevent submarine collisions with terrain is to use a "height above terrain" system rather than an "altitude" system. Since really small subs can basically just stick to the seafloor with this, I made a cute little mini-sub called the catfish!

Could you toy around with harpoons? It would be cool to see if you could forcefully beach ships on land, or an anchor that drags aircraft into the waters below! Also, a solution for the nighttime situation: A missile silo that doubles as a lighthouse. And not an on top missile release, but rather from fold out panels along the sides. You could also have the rotating light double as a giant radar dish. Lighthouse? Why tell your enemy where you are at all times? Because you want your enemy to know where to stay away from.

You could consider hollow point rounds for larger advanced cannons. They do thump damage, effectively the same thing as ramming vehicles against each other, which simulates explosives while using AP shells. The only threat of self harm then comes from gunpowder. Also, with the proposed changes coming to the game for shields, requiring battery power to mitigate damage or alter the trajectory of shells, hollow point rounds are predicted to be of greater value for depleting battery reserves.

lathrix on your towers you can make a separate vehicle that it holds that is full of ammo and armor. it could hold i t at a ways so it fixes any ammo problems and it probably won't kill the tower itself if it explodes.

if you are messing around with high calibre APS guns, take a look at 450mm 3m rounds and 461mm 4m rounds. Using Base Bleeders and Inertial fuses makes those shells the max gauge that will fit those clips, and at that scale frag and F-HEAT rounds are horrendously effective vs pretty much every enemy at Glao's scale.

Make the bottom of the sub out of RUBBER! Works wonders. My small combat sub sticks to the ocean floor and kills almost everything with torpedoes. Wouldn't work at all if it didn't have a bottom made of rubber.

For missile defense just put in a cheap structure in the back with interceptor missiles, radar buoys and flares. Just extend it as you have spare resources, once you hit between 20-30 missiles nothing will hit in a 2 km range. Unless it's laser guided but for that you have smoke.

For ~200K materials you can have my quad 500mm that has 1 recoil force, shoots 25,000 meters at 500m/s and for some reason fires about 10 projectiles per barrel. The armor will never let you down. That's a guarantee. 14 Meters of metal on the front, and 3-10 everywhere else. It has never met a vehicle that it can't one shot and go all the way through.

Obviously it can't be done on Glao due to the volume restrictions, but that 500mm cannon needs to have a turret variant with three guns, and then have three or four of those turrets mounted on a battleship.

So, the doombox is entirely cannon and armour, right? For me, with complicated advanced cannons, the game goes into lag purgatory when I'm looking at them, even if they're completely encased in metal, although if I'm looking from a relatively distant vantage point it doesn't lag. Why does this not affect you even a little bit?
