Possible idea for the helicopters: The Yard Master's Eyes. Lore: A world ravaged by desolate sands and machines of war, sometimes the safest passage is through the air. And sometimes, the only safe way through a problem, is over it. Small and agile, the Eyes of the scrap yard patrol far and wide, searching the dunes for buried wrecks under the sand from their lofty perch amongst the clouds. But as war dawned on the tiny scrapping yard, a new purpose was given to the Master's Eyes. Still light and agile, they were given a small shield, and a pod of missiles strapped to each side, attached to it's wings once used to stabilize it's flight. Now it is not as stable in flight, but the Yard Master's Eyes see all for him in the wastes around his hold, and report back to him all they see and hear. And occasionally, they find scrap in the smoldering metal hearts of their once standing enemies...

For the 250mm tank and the 36mm Gatling tank. The Dusk Raider and the Dusk Watchman respectively. Originally developed by Mortarion Heavy Industries, the Dusk Raider first came to notoriety during the 2nd battle of the Istvaan where it proved decisive against the Steel Empire Forces. Word quickly spread about its success and over the course of the next 80 years models and variants of all types were constructed. Production ended 35 years ago however due to its success as an export vehicle and its robust and durable engine it has continued to be a mainstay of many smaller factions military and security forces. Originally designed as a main battle tank the Dusk Raiders heavy armor allowed it to sustain an incredible amount of punishment far greater than similar vehicles of its size and class. Armed with a 250mm high velocity Advanced Cannon it is more than capable of punching through all but the most heavily armored vehicles. The main gun was originally designed to fire Armor Piercing Sabot rounds but new advancements in heavy armor design demonstrated the validity of HESH shells over more conventional penetrators. Despite the advent of modern shield technology and improved ECM the Dusk Raider remains a formidable combat vehicle. The Dusk Raider comes in a number of variants including the standard 250mm Advanced Cannon “Dusk Raider”, the twin Gatling 36mm Anti aircraft “Dusk Watchman”, a 50mm advances cannon with with quad anti tank missile “Dusk scout”, and the 500mm combat engineering vehicle “Dusk Guard (Thank you ChrEliza). In addition, there an unarmed recovery vehicle also exists as well as bridge layer, anti mine vehicle, and long range mortar platform. There have even been some experiments with the possible adoption of a laser turret to even greater improves its firepower. Perhaps the greatest tragedy in the tale of the Dusk Raider was that I was created too late. While an exceptional vehicle in all regards, newer and more advanced guns were in development that far outclassed the older Advanced Cannons mounted on the Dusk Raider. In addition, with the invention of miniaturized shield technology kinetic penetrators and HEAT shells quickly fell out of favor. Lasers and advanced cannons became the order of the day and proved to be incredibly effective against the unshielded Dusk Raider. While most Dusk Raiders and their variants were abandoned long ago, the fall of the Steel Empire has brought new life to the old vehicle. Most factions unable to afford the far more expensive shielded vehicle or unable to recreate the advanced technical requirements of lasers and particle cannons have begun making moves to revitalize the old Dusk Raiders. By using improved metallurgic manufacturing techniques and advancements to the older Advanced Cannon guns the old tank is gaining in popularity. Now new factions and scrappers have begun creating upgrade kits including improved fire control and detection systems giving them an edge over the more technology advanced combat vehicles and even by passing shields for a fraction of the cost. For over 100 years the Dusk Raider has been making a name for itself across the galaxy. While now considered antiquated and obsolete by many groups it still remains a powerful force on the battlefield and it is a testament to its robustness and the versatility of its platform that it is still used by many factions today.

Well the reason I said that it is an old tank is that it look like a military vehicle and not some scrape cobbled together thing. I especially like the shape angled lines that make it seem almost worn and beat up like a real work horse vehicle.

Josh Lapple Oh, I didn’t mean the tank was made scrappy, I mean make the development of the tank more realivant to the scrapyard theme. Instead of explaining why that is, I will instead give the piece I’ve made this far, to illustrate what I mean. The Dusk Raiders of many of the major powers were scrapped fairly quickly, many of them sent to the scrapyard in the middle of nowhere. There, with so many of the Dusk raiders in good working order, several of them were regulated to the more mundane duty of moving about scrap metal, replacing the turret with a heavy duty crane to make moving scrap a easy chore. With the onset of war dawning upon the scrapyard, it was decided to very quickly replace the crane with another turret, even if not exactly the same as the original. Several 36mm chainguns were left about in the scrap heap from aircraft scrapped decades ago, and many tanks were quickly fitted with the guns, making the Dusk Watcher series of anti-aircraft platforms. With the simplistic construction of the Dusk Raider, even the simple tools of the scrap yard could reproduce the tank chassis without many hiccups, allowing more than the 4 or 5 tanks kept for moving about scrap.

Honestly, the easiest things to say a bit of lore on is the AA turret and the helicopter. The reason I say this is due to their similarities to Neter vehicles. The helicopter was a prototype helicopter from the Steel Striders that was scrapped due to low speed, and the scrappers instead threw a few jet engines on them and used them defend their land. The turret is simply an amalgamation of Twin Guard guns and Onyx Watch armor, used to defend key areas of the scrapper area. Honestly, I'm not much for trying to rationalize other's designs, but this what I thought of. -Pfeffer

Lore, and a name for the drone. The drone also known as the M.A.L.H or also Medium Altitude Light Hauler was a light scrap lifter on the planet for easier transportation of scrapped vehicles. The Cheap Death-ray. It was a simple mining laser for the Scarlet dawn, back when the world was covered in water. It fell from the sky during the scarlet dawns initial invasion. After many years, as the oceans dried up, the mining laser was uncovered by the scrappers. It was first used to advance their recourse gatherers. but after a while the true power of the laser was uncovered. As the scrappers were not the richest, they strapped the laser on a civilian vehicle. On the ground, it was competent. But they realized it would be far more useful in the sky. So, they stole some jets from some salvaged Lightning Hoods jet-craft and duck-taped the jets on. For the scrappers, this was the biggest advance in tech they have seen for millennia. For everyone else, it was a glass cannon, just waiting to be unleashed.

Hey lath! Just an Idea for lore surrounding the Turret: the Contender(or the Phaeton )( a commandeered emplacement ) The air hung dry around the hulking metal behemoth, it’s internals untouched , the external layers of armour scratched by a battle long gone , three long barrels of glory slip out from its heavily armoured carcass , shells loaded , yet its operator long forgotten , its AI offline, this is a scrappers dream, now turned on again through some quick wire-work . Once again , it lives and breathes death upon those who wilt at its steady foundation and its deathly glare. Just a little lore for the Turret ! Love the videos lath , keep it up !

The dust cap: converted mining laser. Log 9: I have done it, My brainchild. The dust cap is complete. Using a mining laser I found in a meteor site. (It looks like alien tech!) I supercharged it and added it to the chassis of an edited old Lightning Hoods hovercraft. It features heavy modifications including making it cheaper. It may still be on the expensive side for what it is; but Lathrix will LOVE this. It is called the dust cap for its sandy color and the fact it flies like a spore. And NO I’ve not been playing too much Oxygen Not Included! People keep saying that. *Ahem* Anyway It is a beautiful craft That will serve us well in the future when the sands of war blow toward our enemies. Chief engineer Ruby out. TA-TA

The Sand Skimmer can be called something like X-12 or J-15 or F-21 or something like that. As for the lore: The X-12 is the precursor models to the hovercrafts that the Lightning Hoods use. The very first of its kind in commercial use it was used in the South East as a popular choice for amateur racing. After the Empire fell apart, a group of Scrappers refurbished it as a heat-of-the-moment attack and defence craft until they built their, now very feared tanks. You should call the turret the AAHBC. AAHBC meaning 'Anti-Air half built cannon'. The cannon was built as the first line of defence for the remote mines/resource zones. The original plans included a laser system, much more cannons and the ability to dispatch X-12s for quick defence. However, because of an oncoming attack, R&D finished up the plans hastily and made the main AA turret a HESH-Frag-Flak combo. The drones can be called Gypsies. I am not sure, but I think you use it now as a transport vessel. So it would be nice to think of them as rugged and cheap vehicles tasked with carrying resources from one place to another. These would also be armed with missile systems to keep back pirates, who ironically, were also called Gypsies. The HESH Tanks can be called the TC-1 aka 'Big Bullet'. The first creation of the Scrapper's R&D, the TC was built as a canvas for other tanks. The TC-1 was equipped an extremely powerful HESH cannon. A well placed, or not, shot could completely cripple its target. However, it was more efficient against slower and more armoured targets. The Minigun Cannons can be called TC-2. The TC-2 was built using the TC body and sported a powerful 30mm, six-barrel, minigun which absolutely shredded its targets. Unlike its predecessor TC-1, it was much more versatile when it came to effective targets. However, the Scrappers leader, Lathrix, prefered the TC-1 as it was much more cooler to watch it land a shot. And who doesn't like a bit of showmanship? The Lasers can be called GraveDigger. The Grave Digger, was developed from an mining laser by R&D. The laser was moved to a moving chassis. However, Lathrix put the design on the shelf, for it being too expensive and useless in battle. Later, as a side project of a small group of researchers, who made it much more energy efficient, to the point that it could hover; its laser's range was increased from a measly 30 metres as was the standard, to one whole kilometre. The strenght of the beam was also improved two-fold. The helicopters could be called Eagles or Falcons. Mostly because of their swooping attack. As for the lore, I can't think of anything. Also, please make a sattelite, and give it some weapons to defend itself even if it may not be of much use because realistically, orbital intelligence is very expensive and well thought out.

The Laser Lore (Wut?): The Steel Empire was one of the greatest of its time and it stood proud as advancements were made for the benefit of its people. The Empire had utilized many unique and unusual ideas. One of these ideas was the laser, a powerful tool for both civilian and military use at the time, but like with every powerful item, there is a drawback. Many civilian uses were found for these advanced pieces of technology, many of which are used to this day. In fact many inventions were inspired or derived from lasers, but since those times lasers hadn't evolved much, this was caused by its failure as a potent and destructive weapon in the military. The concept of having a large beam of light plough through enemy armies and fortifications was exhilarating and the creation of plans and designs were immediately commissioned. The greatest flaws of this item as a military weapon were: its numerous weaknesses, its redundancy when faced against some of its numerous counters, its high cost and inefficient power consumption. The only plausible use in the military would be to mass produce weak, small and cheap vehicles to swarm the enemy, which was nowhere near the initial concept, instantly reducing the Empires interest in continuing to implement it into its army. The reason these lasers still exist are thanks to their extensive civilian and a few military uses. Many attempts at creating a laser focused vehicle, but none were too efficient, the only exception being the breakaway faction the Lightning Rods. Their incredibly advanced versions of the quite ancient Steel Empire model, have allowed the Lightning Rods to utilize these weapons exactly like the original Steel Empire concept stated. Apart from them, lasers aren't common in the military of most factions, they are however incredibly common in the civilian industry (saying for the 5th-6th time). You can see lasers drilling into the earth in quarries on special mining vehicles. These aren't rare, because after the Steel Empire was divided, many mining vehicles were abandoned on post or elsewhere, making them fairly common in the modern world. Scrappers, hoarders and other lowlives use the mining laser or a modified variant as an offensive weapon, which is surprisingly a common tactic, but there aren't many scrappers or others left, in fact I know of only one scrapper, that only recently came up on my radar, he goes by the name of Lathrix, nevertheless an interesting subject for his own reasons, but that is Perhaps something else for another time. Hopefully somebody (except the Rods) would in the near future create a design with the laser at its core, which would bring to life the Great Concept of the Steel Empire! Written by Stranger. The 'Gold Buzzer' or 'Golden Buzzer' is a popular improvised support design, used often by the scavengers of the former empire. It's main weapon is a heavy duty mining laser, formerly seeing extensive use in empirical mining craft, which is hastily combined with wheels or hover engines to quickly and cheaply produce a long-range support antagonizer. It's name is thought to be derived from the colour and sound of it's laser, although some claim that the original accumulation of gold that the lasers were originally used for is the true inspiration behind the name.

For the turret. The Bullet Slinger was prototype heavy turret from the onyx watch that was stolen in the early development days by pirates. The design was thought lost over many years. But during the outbreak of the war. A new faction growing in power started using the once thought lost design to defend key positions such as resource zones to keep out shady characters.

Lath thanks to this series I’m now addicted to Hesh shells. They are glorious. Watching a 500mm hesh shell hit a metal part of a mostly wood ship and seeing fragments fly everywhere is awesome. I also love how general purpose they can be. They’re good against heavily armoires craft because of how they work and can be decent against lighter armour because of the fragments that kinda just go everywhere

Good to see no issues encountered in this video, and also nice to see that the Wisp update came out. The turret on it was changed a bit to include more lasers, the settings tweaked to make it avoid firing at anything it can't hit, and the shields were buffed.

While I'm not particularly good at coming up with names, one of the core resource zones is specifically described as a stockpile of old Steel Empire equipment that the protagonist "acquired" ownership of for scrapping purposes. That's the perfect lore for the tanks and helicopter: obsolete military equipment that Lathrix hauled out of the boneyard, fixed up and put back into service.

Lore and name for the turret: Codename: Smooth Talker Class: Heavy Protection Turret and Escort Utilities: 250mm Anti-Air cannon using a mix of mostly flack, a HE, and frag warheads to clear out hoards of enemies; A large amount of armor to protect from the heaviest of blows and to outlast any opponent(s) in a fight Background: The Smooth Talker was a mobile bunker/convoy for the high ranking officials of the Old Empire, some of the outdated and worn out units were left at the Lathrixian Scrapyard (A family company) with a "small" sum of money and a letter saying that the units are not to be disassembled and/or sold so that the Empire may come and collect them if the need arises. When the Empire started to crumble the units were forgotten about and were never retrieved. Now, as the Lathrixian Empire rises out of the dust and the rust and the broken trust of the Old Empire, it commissioned the lumps of metal and rebuilt them: repairing them with the fresh scrap of the very enemies that it will be used to hold back, and outfitting it with a massive cannon that can be adjusted to work against those that it is defending from. Like a Kirby, but if Kirby was made of metal that can resist thermonuclear bombs, and had a massive cannon on top of his head. Lathrix if you find this: Hello how do you do? and you may read the lore out loud if you would like. Also, I had the idea that you but the main base on a platform with wheels and transport it to the Dustwind Gypsies territory after you conquer them so that it is easier to defend if you declare war on multiple factions. This is only a thought however as I do not know if it is possible to move the main base around or if doing that would conflict with your honor rules. Thanks for reading, siceirely, Jose

Class: mid-size tank. Name: Asbolus. (as-bowl-us.) Shells: HESH. This tank was not originally built from scratch, in fact the blueprints for this vehicle was an heirloom from a generation ago. Due to this quirk, Asbolus tanks stick out from the rest of the ramshackle troops. One point of note is that its blueprints were used to create it's "sister/brother" tank Eleodes. Scraper's tales talk of Asbolus' being able to down a Tremor in just a few hits (which is true!), though very few believe it. Class: mid-size tank. Name: Eleodes. (el-oh-des.) Shells: AP "Sibling" to the Asbolus tank. Eleodes was made part-way in the war, filling a niche and strengthening the lath .co forces. This niche was caused by two of the Asbolus tank's few drawbacks, it's fire rate and shell speed. Seeing that this weakness was a problem, the (self proclaimed.) High General Lathrix spent days locked in his war room drawing up blueprints, many of his supporters thinking he had gone mad (He had.). Many say that seeing Asbolus and Eleodes fight together is like watching two siblings watching eachother's back, fighting for freedom.

The tank frame should be called the sandstorm. Lore: There was a battle in the sands, the dustwind gypsies against the ligtning hoods, fighting for their land, in the middle of a sandstorm... alot of vehicles were damged by flying rubble, but, one tank drove over quicksand, it was sinking slowly and the crew abbandoned it. Because it was in the sand no one new where it was, but years later, the lathrixian empire used there mining lasers looking for any kind of resourse because they were in desperate need but, what they found was the sandstorm. The sandstorm was very damaged with a AP shot right in the middle. Lathrix notcied the tank and its survivability and tried to repair it. The repair was more then a repair, the tank got even more armor and a devestating gun. Lathrix was happy with this tank and with, he to this day, is still using the tanks as a frame, they are still serving him well. Sandstorm :)

The 250mm HESH tank is a recreation of a steel empire medium tank that was once taken apart for scrap-metal by yours truly. It was frantically rebuilt (with some artistic liberty's taken) when war broke out to provide something better than hastily weaponize'd scrapping drones. It is now the main anti armor of the scraper's legion. I feel like this is not what you had in mind but i had fun doing a bit of writing, no idea for a good name though :p

For the hesh tank: The AH-1 or Armourscrapper is a tank developed to fight against stronger, bigger enemies and scrap their armour using it's HESH-41 shells, codenamed "Scrapperman". It was built in great haste when 2 factions declared war, causing some flaws in the design. There are still new versions being built, whose purpose is to eliminate enemies of the scrappers with more efficiency and less damage taken. It works great when combined with other craft that deal with smaller, less amoured enemies while the Armourscrapper is scrapping the large enemies. This is my first bit of lore I've ever written but I did my best. I'm not satisfied about the name but I tried to stick with the scrapper theme. Also, good video Lathrix!

"The Convertible",the tanks, is an old tank that came from the a forget war. It was buried long ago resulting the outer armor of the tank to be covered by sand. After you go on a reasorse trip you find them buried and pull them out. After a look at it you find the turret and the wheels ruined. You replace the wheels to newer ones, but you don't know what to do with the empty space where the turret used to be. You decide to add some old ground turrets for the tanks. There wasn't enough heavy turrets for all the tanks so you use old mini-guns. You weld two together and place it in the turret space. Now you have two types of tanks for the of one type.

Design suggestion: make a rail sniper tank that fires shrapnel canisters.Lore: the scrapers found an abandoned post office with the pneumatic pipes still intact. They repurposed these, gave it some electromagnets, and mounted it to the nearest truck. Also instead of flinging mail, they now throw canisters filled with all the useless garbage lying around...along with a bit of gunpowder for good measure. Instead of garbage you could have the shrapnel melted down into solid blocks, welded together and fling those at the enemy (high kinetic damage with a hollow point head)

The tanks were once used by an ancient civilization. One which ruled the land years ago. Bits and pieces were found in the sand and piece by piece by the scrappers(lathrix). Eventually a few prototypes were assembled. While sitting on his throne, lathrix looked on the Neternet and found that the tanks were once known as the Thrashers. After days of war, the scrappers formed different variations into the tanks we know today.

Edit: Give the front part a small exhaust pipe that extends to the length of the laser and add the actual resource grabber on the end if you can. It would be cool to keep this true to the idea that you originally had. Edit #2: Here is some lore for your craft Laser craft: This is a chunk of an extremely large mining plant, complete with over 350 of these components. When the Empire fell, this was its last line of defense. It used its stacked mining lasers as an outpost near the front lines. Each one of these did minimal damage, but together, they shredded any kind of armor or shields. Since the system was modular, any number of these kinds of units could be put together in any kind of way. A massive internal explosion caused the main mining laser (which was made up of 100 of these chunks in a circle) to split apart and make all of the lasers surrounding it fly off. The chunk you see in the video is one of the last remaining pieces. The Lathrixian Legion has converted it into a weapon of (not so) massive destruction. The original design integrated tracks and hovers so it could move around and dock into the larger middle tube. A side of the mining laser was blown off in the explosion, and the Lathrixian Legion had to remake the side, but the wheels could no longer function with the hovers. Codename: HPA-34 'Phoenix' - Burn your enemies to the ground! Skid craft: The rubber skid craft was literally just pieces lying around. The Legion found some blueprints for a crappy old scout vehicle retrofitted with missiles from an old Empire base. They wanted to see what it would be like, so they made it. It was a rather fast craft, but if not edited properly, it had the tendency to fly off into space. Codename: EXP-23 'Avalanche' - Send the avalanche of missiles into your enemy's hearts! HESH tank: One of the final vehicles made by the Empire in a last-ditch effort to save the war, these tanks could turn the tide of the battle. At a shocking 14000 resource cost, these miniature bases could wipe the field clean. The Legion found the blueprints to make these along with the 'Avalanche's. However, one of the resources needed to make its armor components was heavily damaged in the wreck the Legion found at the time. The tank wreck had to be re-engineered multiple times in order to work a way around this. These tanks are the main force of the Lathrixian Legion. Codename: IHH-4 'Invulnerability' - The Blood God wields this weapon of unearthly power as a sword, allowing the unearthly power to be unleashed. Mini-gun tank: One of the other final vehicles made by the Empire in the same last-ditch effort to save the war as the 'Invulnerability.' The engineers realized that the small craft made by forming factions such as the Dust-wind Gypsies were unable to escape the 'Invulnerability's wrath. These craft could run away and inform the others of their intense force. The engineers were able to construct a second tank, one with a lower size bullet that could run down escaping forces. These had two sets of 8 barrels. Codename: IHH-4B 'Redemption' - The Blood God wields this weapon not as a sword, but as a dagger from which the blood shall flow. AAA emplacement: Formed from three different craft, this is the first craft converted by the Legion after the great war. The Dust-wind Gypsies were foolish enough to allow some pieces of the Tremor to be left standing instead of detonating it like the other crafts' wrecks. The Legion took some of the CRAM cannon tech used in the Tremor to create the gun itself, used blueprints from the 'Invulnerability's armor, and used the 'Phoenix's advanced aiming technology to create the barrel. The Legion salvaged some CRAM cannon ammunition, but the warheads fractured. The warheads now would explode midair. The Legion decided that this was a primitive version of the Flak used in the Great War. Codename: SAB 'Electrocution' - Let the power of this Artillery Battery shock your enemies into submission. Helicopter: The oldest of them all, long before thrusters were the primary upward propulsion, there were helicopters. These helicopters came in many different shapes and sizes. This helicopter was one of the extreme few that was able to make it through the rigorous testing phases. It falls under the Stealth category, and as such, has a small frame. Many of the higher class helicopters were damaged in the Great War after being used by the Empire endlessly. Some of those helicopters were taken by the Dust-wind Gypsies and converted. The Stealth helicopter seeing use in the Legion's military originally had cloaking devices. They would fly in squadrons of six. At some point, rogue Empire officers started up the experimental versions of these helicopters with shields and a way to be controlled without a pilot. The Legion was attacked, but the glorious 'Electrocution' held them off long enough for them to run out of fuel and drop harmlessly to the ground. During the crash, only two survived. One had its hull damaged too heavily to be repaired, the other fell on its tail. The ability to tilt forward was lost in the crash and the cloaking devices were damaged as well. The cloaking devices had a double-function, however. They also worked as thrusters. The Legion capitalized on this, making six copies of the helicopter into battle. Codename: PAH 'Smoker' - Strike your enemies with your missiles, blind them with their contrails, and beat them into submission! Satellite: This satellite was made from the balloons used in Lathrix's birthday party. They flew upwards from the excess helium and melted together under the heat of the sun. The Legion realized that it made an excellent flying machine, belted some armor onto it, and put a couple of cameras on it too. Codename: SBP-1 'Ghost' - A Surprise Birthday Present (for everyone) at Lathrix's birthday party! Drone: A drone made from parts in the back. It's the prototype for the future Khorne Flake, shown in the Neter Campaign series. The Legion just had some wood lying around, so they put it together and made it fly. Great idea, right? The Blast Turret. While small, this turret packs quite a punch. With its flak shells and timed explosions, even getting near its shells will blow away even the toughest of tanks. Its shells' barks are bigger than their bites. Literally.

The Laser vehicle, dubbed the LASERUS PROJECT (pun-intended) was created after a bloody battle, all that remained of the scrappers was the damaged undercarrage of their main battle tank,being determined to keep going and get revenge on those who sought to stop them laughrix and his scrapper legion managed to create this monterous mobile artillery piece from the remaining hull parts and a captured lightning hoods laser system. This was all just in time to defend the home land, the laserus project is known to strike fear in their enemys eyes some have been known to kill eachother just to deny the scrappers the true feeling of revenge after the success of the original laserus design a second varient was created dubbed by the foot soldiers “the laserus experiment” this varient had nearly double the powwer of the original even after they managed to merge it with aviation technology (i know lazurus is spelt wrong :p its intentional should still be pronounced lazurus though)

I have a great piece of lore for the slider/glider! "This vehicle was once a old transport machine used by the "humans" to travel trough something they called "snow". These days snow ain't no more and the scrappers of the wasteland have refitted them to slip and slide across sand. These vehicles are extremely fast and cheap, so they mostly get used in mass.

for the tanks I got names and lore and stuff versitank HESH, versitank AP test pilot's log (before test) I'm exited to test this new tank, it is currently unnamed, but from what I've heard it has both an AP mini-gun and a HESH cannon, but in the blueprints I have seen it has no gun, and not enough room to have both, I am still exited, but even more confused. test pilot's log (after test) well this is more surprising than I thought it would be, the tank turned out to be two tanks! no wonder there was so much confusion about what weapons it used! apparently there may be more versions on the way, although nothing is certain at this point, except that I'm still loving this job.

The original components of the Svalinn were two different systems used in a war long past, excavated from the dunes they have been combined by scavengers to make a defensive structure bar none, the base, originally an infantry bunker provides more than adequate protection for the former bunker busting turret, the ammunition has of course been replaced by the scavengers, it's very seldom turrets have the capability to fire at other turrets, and the aim and tracking makes it more than enough to take out tanks and planes alike.

idea for the helicopters: The Whirly Birds Lore: The whirly bird was originally constructed to search for wrecks in the dunes to get that all important scrap, as a matter of fact the idea came to the yardmaster when he was sitting bored with nothing to do and started spinning a small piece of paper on a pencil, he had of course heard tales of the steel empire's famous helicopters, but could never figure out how to make one himself until now. As war approached on the horizon the Whirly Birds were quickly refitted with a more powerful engine, armed with missile pods and a simple energy shield slapped on for protection

I would still really love it if you would try and build something with the simple lasers. They are ridiculously powefull for their size if used correctly. Way more powerful than a normal laser of comparable size and cost. I have built a little helicopter with 10 of these, mounted in 2 small turrets and they just melt whatever comes in front of them. Even heavy armour isnt much of an issue. Sure, they are very short range, but mounted on a fast moving platform that isnt really a problem. Really great little weapons, especially vs the small enemies in Ashes of the Empire

Some lore and a name suggestion for the turret. The Skull Cannon of Khorne, a ferocious cannon built from the scraps of an old military outpost. Splicing together the remnants of some cannon parts and grabbing the ammunition and loading belts from the dilapidated arsenal, the renewed cannon can now shed the blood of those who dare to defy its will. The remnants of the buildings and vehicles made great armor for the turret, and with some modifications to the armor, it is now stronger than ever. Now imbued with the hatred of Khorne, and the AI now brainwashed to the will of Khorne, the turret will kill all who are not of Khorne. The Scrappers were able to take down one of our bases, and although we had a flagship with stationary defenses back there, they were barely able to scratch the Scrappers' stolen tank designs. The enemy was even able to reverse engineer our laser technology, refitting two of their cargo and mining drones with highly advanced lasers that can tear through lightly armoured craft - who would've thought that our own proficiency would fuel our demise. And yet, we thought we could just smash those dumpster rats with another attack force. However, recon told us that they built an entirely new fortification at our former base. We have never seen anything alike before - it's as sturdy as one of the Watch's designs, but it looks eerily alien, as if from another planet entirely. Along with that, they replaced our workers and miners with one creepy, spinning, flickering machine that just tears through the ground's resources... Hey there Lathrix, I had proposed a "Tankdestroyer"-type of vehicle before (very big, fixed (only movement using the barrels) gun in the front with a very heavy sloped front armor ... but I have recently played a lot of warthunder and started to fall in love with the M3 - Lee .... basically a tank destroyer with a smaller gun in a turret on top (with a tiny MG-Turret on top of the other turret XD) and since its scary and hilarious at the same time I would absolutly Love to see you build something like that in FTD ...

Also another thing I think about quiet some time now is a very high (maybe even in space) flying vehicle with just a Spam of the Bomb-Barrels for the cram cannons ... so its actually raining bombs .... and from a few tests I did it is pretty OP against big, slow enemys and nothing except for railguns on 2 axis turrets or lasers can actually hit it....

For the little Laser tank, The Lathrixian Legion "Cathode" tank Originally a mining vehicle for the outer colonies of the Lathrixian Legion, the rebels within the Legion converted them into combat vehicles to fight the "oppressive empire" after the rebels were dealt with the tanks they had nicknamed "The Cathode" were put into storage and forgotten about until recently. Seeing the potential in a cheap laser tank the Legion converted the old mining vehicles en masse into war machines similar to the ones the rebels had used long ago.

My lore for the Stronghold or Battle Bunker (some name choices) would be that while searching the wasteland, your guys found in a part where the ocean used to be a large sized battleship. Most of it was useless, having rusted, but somehow, the turrets were in decent condition. You carefully took them off of their mounts, and knew you didn't have vehicles strong enough to carry them into combat, so you just stuck them on top of the Stronghold/Battle Bunker and made them into defense points.

Lore for the Hesh tank: The Onyx Watch's war machines moved in the far distance and they're destructive power and pure effectiveness (awesomeness) was apparent. Remembering a shell from a war before you find an old tank in your scrap heap and decide to make it yours. Fixxing it up and slapping on a new coat of paint you let your invaders know they messed with the wrong scrapper as you invade them in-return. (The Pride should be what it's named)

Lore For Hesh Tank 250mm The Hesh Tank, Formally Know As The S.A.D D.A.D , Or Search And Destroy Destroyer And Divulger Was A Common Tank Used In The Empires Tank Corps. The Tank Was Heavily Used And Produced. It Would Be Operated By A 5 Man Crew. 1 Commander, 2 Loaders, 1 Driver, And 1 Gunner. During The Retreat Of The Empire During The Civil War, A Shell Penetrated A S.A.D D.A.D Know As Minnie s Ammunition Locker. The Chassis Was Completely Anihilated While The Tank Turret, With The Gunner Still Alive Inside, Went Flying. It Landed In The Sand Not Far From Lathrix's Junk Shop. The Wounded Gunner's Skull Was Fractured By The Impact, And He Opened That Hatch, Called For Help, And Didn't Notice Lathrix's Car Pulling Up. When He Turned Around The Car Went Over Him And Crushed His Skull. Lathrix, Believing He Hit A Turtle, Stop To Help. When He Saw The Dead Man And Took His ID, Gunner Sergant Johnson A. Ruther, He Tried To Find The Turret. He Eventually Found It And Opened The Hatch. He Found The Manual To Work The Gun And Found That There Was Still A Shell In The Chamber. He Test Fired It And Decided He Liked It. Lathrix Got His Shovel, And Dug It Out. Then He Grabbed Some Cable, And Tied The Turret To The Back Of His Car. Ah, here’s my lore for the defence turrert:There is this legend of what people call the (insert name here). Some say that it was ancient superstructure built by aliens. Some say it was a top secret project built by a collaboration of nations in creating the ulitimate superweapon. Some say it was a coastal defense turret to protect something against hoards of enemies. There are others who even deny that it ever existed, but three things are for sure: it has been captured by a band of scrappers, whoever has had dared to oppose of it never came out alive and nobody will know where it really came from.

Small Skimmer: The missile bug, originally an unarmed, rapid transport vehicle for commanders used by the first faction Dust-wind Gypsies you were informed that they were transporting a high value target at noon so the legion, being the good guys, decided to liberate the transport by intercepting it and neutralising the target. After hitting the target with a hail of hesh shells, the target was taken down, leaving nothing but scrap across the ground and a half shell of the vehicle. Realising it can be recovered, you took it upon yourself to recruit the unit to your legion. Adding missiles and additional armour, the Missile bug was born.

Got a suggestion for a new vehicle with lore: Name: HIVE Use: a small FOB that spawns tiny drones that swarm the enemy. The building would also have a variation which has a vehicle bay that can create vehicles, hold them, etc. It will also have alot of health tenticles. Lore: once small bases placed in caves fpr forward mining operations, the HIVE has been converted into a war base, with its modified mining drones, armed and ready to attack any unwanted guest. Stories are told of how these bases managed to repell any siege of opressing forces.

Hear a suggestion for the hesh tank and the minigun tank. As on a savaging trip like any other trip you happened apon an abandoned building, who owned it, how did you miss it in all of your previous trips, no one knows, but being the scavenger that you are, you went inside to see if you can scrap anything and discovered the hesh tanks and minigun tanks and instantly realized that you can use the tanks to defend yourself from any threats. Call the minigun tank the “haat” ( the heavy anti aircraft tank) and call the hesh tank the “aattd” (absolute and total tank destroyer)

Hey lathrix, how about a half track with a similar function to the crull, but having a bunch of different variations( autocanons, missiles, grenade launchers(ejector add on missiles, pure warheads and maybe magnets), little flak canon, a little cram canon(less than 800mm). Maybe an artilery piece(2000mm) without a turret, using HE and frag and EMP because why not! Maybe also an anti tank canon vehicle(500 mm AP or Sabot), but it can't have a turret. Lore For the Turret. In the beginning, the "Sand People" (Dustwind Gypsies) as we use to call them raided us. They used Planes, Tanks, and much more we didn't know of. One of our Famous explores named Günter Nikhil found something. He found a new ore as we call Oblivion Armor (Heavy Armor). We used the "Oblivion" and placed it on our Vehicle. We were thinking that it would be a mobile tank but soon to realize it was too heavy. We build it in somewhat like a rectangle but, it was much more than a box. We used our materials to the best of our abilities giving it "oblivion" to the outside. We tested it with one of our tanks called the "Faklgen" (Pronunciation: Faul-Gen) this was an old tank that was decommissioned a few years back but, it still packed a punch. We discovered that the Armor couldn't hold up so we couldn't hold up against the "Sand People". Our mechanics, engineers and much more talked about this. We placed as much steel on it to cover it from fire. Next time we tested it, it didn't do anything. Now we needed the turret. We went to the cave to worship our God named, Alsha (Pronunciation Al-aha). This God was the God of War. He blessed us with a Gun. This gun was a Tri Auto-loading gun that we put on the Machine. We put it on and it was a perfect fit. We placed the Gun and added some "oblivion". The gun was ready. We made a test tank with "oblivion" and it fired a barrage and annihilated the tank. Now we needed a name for it. We called it Obilion (Pronunciation: o-plean) referencing the "oblivion" ore we found. When the "Sand People" suddenly attack us out of the blue, this machine was ready. Our Crew inside the "Obilion" fired it once and killed the tank. There you are the lore of the "Turret" as you call it. (Ps, I'm not forcing you to name this the obilion you can call it whatever you want)

I’m not great with names but, here’s some lore to go with the drone and the laser. In times of price, the blood leigion would use the laser to extract the earth essence, blood per say, it was more of a tractor beam then, the drones were just transport that would take tanks from the lasers and bring them to factories to be processed. And once war broke out, the blood leigion obviously wanted to use they’re resources to attack the enemy, so a group of engineers used the Seth’s essence to induce damage out from the laser instead of collecting it, it made the color of the laser change but it did its job, the drones on the other hand were to frail to be explicitly used in combat, so one of the craziest engineeres named, Idk doctor van futé Stein, took a downed drone and put its jet engines on one of the mining lasers and boom, flying lazer!

lore and name for laser vehicle: The Incinerator is a LAS-27 mining laser with an engine strapped on. During the conversion of the laser to a weapon, scrapper Joe noticed the exaust from the engine was sp great that the laser was starting to hover. After a few modifications, and a few beers, scrapper Joe was able to make the incenerator fully airborne.

The drones, also called the flying junker, when making vehicles the leftover parts that cannot be attached to the vehicle being made are put into a pile to be made into the very weak drone, being cannon fodder for main forces, normally put together on the way towards the battle field by mechanics who are not driving any vehicle.

Lore for battle beast(tank): the battle beast the primary attack craft for the scavangers made from any metal they can find with detachable turrets that can be swaped for any scenario used as a bruiser for heavy tanks or gatler for lighter crafts.

An old article dug from the sands of the Lathrixian Legion had this to say on the Lathrixian Legion's early laser hovercraft: W-175 'Wizzer': One of the more dangerous of the LL's early fleet had a rather humble and ignoble beginning. The weapon system of the W-175 originally began life as a reverse-engineered mining laser from the lightning hoods. However, it never really caught on, due to the LL being more of a nomadic group of scrappers, and building deficiencies giving the laser system a unique yellow hue and acrid smell every time it fired. The Lightning Hoods eventually realized the Legion's reverse engineering of their systems, and additionally took offence to the laser system's unintentionally "obscene" qualities. In response to this, the W-175 laser system was removed from its original land-crawling body and placed on an experimental H-235-b hover ore cart for additional maneuverability, and thus the Wizzer Tank was born. Fun Fact: The prominent exhaust pipes were actually ventilation shafts, since engineers were never able to get rid of the laser's smell.

A quick note: recent research has revealed that the source of the odor was the laser's cooling system. The primary coolant used was anyhdrous ammonia. However, most of the Legion's early vehicles were made of salvaged scrap, which led to tiny imperfections in the connection areas. It was this, coupled with the deteriorated rubber that they used for gaskets, that caused small ammonia leaks whenever the weapons were being actively cooled. That the leaks were never detected before the tank's retirement has been attributed to factions within the legion wanting to artificially keep the demand for ammonia high.

Hmmm... Perhaps for the laser vehicle that you've built, it could possibly be constructed with old mining equipment that a recently bankrupt mining company sold off as scrap. During the initial outbreak of the war, scrap workers and various engineers tried to get the darn things working, but found out that the laser barrels would heat up to oven-like temperatures. A certain engineer decided to cook his dinner on one, going so far as to bake a dozen biscuits for his pals. This led to everyone calling them biscuits since they could bake a dozen golden brown beauties if given two minutes of time sitting on the laser barrel.

@lathrix an idea for structures to be placed on uneven ground. build them up like 5-10 blocks higher than they should be, place an origin block at their intended ground level, use 1m blocks for anything below ground level wherever possible then just place them on the map - the structure will be placed with their origin block on the ground level, clipping most of hte stuff underneath the origin block into the terrain and not building it. this allows for structures to be mostly "non hovery" and without (many) gaps underneath them if placed on uneven ground. a note for supply groups: I personally really like setting all my combat units to 20% mats, 80% rest and set them to supply group 1 that way they all have about equal levels of mats for repairs and drop of any excess loot once near a mat storage site/unit they also share any ammo, fuel and power they got with each other and can relay those between each other and for example also between a mothership and its drones and now for the lore: a) you can read my name if you so please ^^ b) a word on naming: I name my designs by a theme, eg theme mountains for the "Everest Class" for a battleship. the first ship of the class will have the name of the class. Strongly doubting that any of them would pass us by - and betting on their opportunistic nature and their intention to 'loot' us for some quick funds for their war chests - we wound ourselves in a bit of a pickle. Looking around for means of fending of the first rush of opportunistic scavengers we searched for anything we might be able to turn into a passable war machine - or at least into a dispenser of minor destruction. Not wanting to risk our own skin we quickly settled on our drones, after all we got loads of these cheap cargo lifter drones and strapping something onto them that makes stuff go boom shouldn't be too hard. Turns out we were right, barely hours after starting to retrofit the first of them for war we had already managed to strap on a couple of ancient missiles we had squirreled away from earlier conflicts and hidden underneath the scrapheaps. With the retrofit soon complete we were surprised to see that we actually managed to make a working warmachine... Maybe war isn't that hard after all? Design: SANDSKIMMER Class: Chariot Theme: Chariots, warsleds and other animal drawn (combat) platforms Role: skirmisher, scout Lore: Emboldened by the easy success of making a passable war machine out of scraps - or a cargo drone - we quickly decided to try and actually make a combat vessel of our own. We only got scrap so it has to be both cheap and easy to make. After thinking about it for a bit we decided to go with the easiest design we could come up with - a bunch of steel beams bend into rough skis, a platform welded onto that and a couple of rocket thrusters strapped to the back - the Chariot was born. Refurbishing some more of those ancient missiles and strapping them to the sides of the new contraption ensured it had some bite to go with its mobility and off we went to test the beasty. Well it turns out making tough combat vessels from nothing takes more than just scrap and a bit of lazy welding... still, the Chariot works - mostly ... Design: LAS 2 Class: Melter Theme: changes from colder to warmer aggreate states (melting, vaporizing, etc) and heat based destruction (immolation, burning, etc) Role: picket, escort Lore: After the sobering experience with the design and creation of the Chariot class we decided to return to our roots - we are junkers, we are scrappers. Junk and scrap is what we deal in, cobbling things together and making them work - somehow - is what we do. With that in mind we looked through our junkyard once more and stumbled upon the ancient mining lasers from when there was still hope that the planet contained mineral veins, maybe even gold or platinum ones - ah, those were times... Picking the the mining lasers and an old truck engine we overcharged the lasers capacitors, removed some of its safeties and ended up with a surprisingly powerful weaponized laser system. But the question remained - what to mount it to? After scrounging for options we ended up picking some old scaffolding and support beams as well as a couple of hover palettes we used to shift things around in our yard. After welding on a couple of extra plates for protection, grinding down the worst edges and quickly spraying on some 'camouflage' paint one of our old-timers insisted on ("It'll practically make the thing invisible, believe you me!") we ended up with the Melter, our very first main combat vessel! The party after the first test was almost as good as the test itself, though now you have to excuse me, I gotta nurse my head ... Note: may I suggest adding a simple flare launcher as rudimentary missile defense - or better yet some interceptor/flare missiles for fleet missile defense? Note2: having the lasers off the ground allows them to shoot over the other vehicles rather than through them (btw - why Altitude and not Altitude Terrain?) - I suggest keeping them hovering to avoid - or at least reduce - friendly fire... Design: HELICOPTER Class: Navajo Theme: native american tribes (or native tribes of other continents) Role: skirmisher, scout, escort Lore: Further testing of the Chariot class had shown some issues with speed and stability on rough terrain. Its simplistic - though fast - propulsion system (if you can call those strapped on rockets that) also turned out to be relatively unstable and to go out of control when damaged. In addition our retrofitted cargo drones - sorry, Mule class rotor craft, were also rather slow and lacked the staying power in any serious combat engagement. This left us short a good scouting and skirmishing craft, a craft that can go out and spot the enemy or use hit & run attacks to harass them and wreck havoc with their systems. Looking back at the craft we already had we decided to combine the Mule and the Chariot classes and make a rocket propelled rotor craft - in other words a combat helicopter. Luckily we still got that old dented one Jacky had insisted we bring ("It'll be great for carting tourists around to show 'em the wildlife! It'll make us rich, it will! Best safari tours ever!") but we never used we got to see what we could salvage from it and cobbled together a new helicopter, strapped on two rocket thrusters from some old crashed cargo shuttle (well, more rust than shuttle - but we got the rockets to work!) and once again refurbishing more of those old missiles forgotten by the world - well maybe a few more than that (gotta make sure it'll hurt stuff!) and we even managed to get the shuttles decrepit asteroid shield to work again - well one of the shield generators anyways... After a few weeks of heavy work we finished, stepped back and were in awe of what we have made - our very first craft that not only works as a combat vessel but also looks like one! Man were we proud! I'll skip the other two tanks and the turret though as those are too advanced to truly work with this scrapper lore background... Maybe stolen designs from some of the other factions? the turret looks like OW but the weaponry is more SS (using neter faction names, not ashes ones as I haven't played ashes myself yet and am unsure about the faction names in there). ... Hesh and 30mm tanks - Heavy Armarment Battle Tank. Unit Designation: Gravis Est, or Heavy Hand. Designed originally by the Onyx Watch Forge smiths as a means to counteract the Lightening Hoods average armor, the Gravis Est is armed with a 250mm HESH cannon, and several technological systems, including advanced targeting and internal fire suppression systems. While the Gravis Est saw extensive combat during the early years of the Great War, it was slowly phased out by new and cheaply produced models. While not packing the same punch as the Gravis Est, they could be produced in far greater numbers. Now the Gravis Est sits rusting in local scrapyards, waiting for the day it will either be salvaged, or returned to the battlefield. Light Anti-vehicle and Anti-personnel Weapons Platform - Unit Designation: Est Lux, or Light Hand. Designed alongside the Gravis Est, the Est Lux was the compliment to the heavy 250mm behemoth it fought beside. While the Gravis Est would target and assassinate larger, more heavily defended enemies, the Est Lux would focus on the smaller and more agile foes. Utilizing 30mm depleted uranium shells and a more finely tuned targeting system than it's bigger brother, the Est Lux was the staple craft in decimation of both infantry and reconnaissance vehicles, as well as lightly armored battle vehicles and even aircraft. Delegated to the scrapheads by cheaper and new models of war, the Est Lux sits beside It's kin, awaiting the day to once again shred It's master's foes.

It could be a comet miner, a EVA (extra vehicular activity) drone from a larger aircraft (a future vehicle?) that eventually crashed. The wreckage was found and made into a weapon.

Lore : (the cannon's calibre) flak emplacement The turret of the emplacement is from a warship prototype that never got a chance to be used as the faction building it had crumbled and dissolved, the guns it uses was stripped off from old artillery emplacements that where decommissioned and never scrapped, the base of the bunker was part of an radar station that was captured and destroyed in a war. As well as the turret was modified to have 3 guns instead of two and the more amour was given to the base to survive shots from most shells

The lazer is based of a ancient story that heralds of a war in which a flimsy water craft that had a lazer strapped to it, In his spare time reading through the story the head of operations lathrix suddenly had a idea based on this ancient lazer craft. He would use a small truck chassis and slap a lazer on to it, since he was probably drunk or something at the time. The next day once it was revealed to all the other people working at Lathrix’s Scrap Emporium people immediately started laughing at the idea. It would be too flimsy one man said. But desperate survive he ended up using these if only to keep the attention of the enemy..... Later he decided with some of the spare jet engines to make it fly. Later when battle came and both of the Las(er micro hovercraft) we’re deployed it not only seemed that they were doing their job but doing it surprisingly well......

Lore For AA Tank 35mm The AA Tank's Turret Was Given To Lathrix By A Retired Empire Gunner. The Gunner Called The Turret Superman. The Gunner Was First Lieutenant Lyndon K. Dietbruige. He Used It To Shoot Down A- Many White Flayer Planes When They Invaded. But Then The Order To Retreat Was Given. Lyndon Didn't Want To Go, But Was Forced To When The Gun's Barrels Jammed. He Made A Plan. He Got His Friends To Help Him Cut Off The Turret, And Put It On A S.A.D D.A.D (See Comment On Hesh Tank) With No Turret. Then He Got An Engineer Crew To Weld It On. When The S.A.D D.A.D Drove Off, It Ran Out Of Fuel Due To A Fuel Tank Leak. The Turret Fell Off When The SAD DAD Ran Out Of Fuel. Its Breaks Were Electricaly Powered, So When The Engine Quit, So Did The Breaks. It Ran Into A Pointy Rock And The Turret Got Blown Off. Lyndon Was The Only Survivor. So He Searched Around The Wreck And Finally Found Some Spare Engine Parts, About 1 Ton Of Steel, ANd A Welder. He Took Off The Wheels From The Tank And Made A Literal Brick Car. It Barley Turned And Had About Only 2cm Thick Armor, But Lyndon Got It To Run. He Decided To Tow The Turret Along With Him. The Turrets Of The Newley Incorperated AA Guns Were Light, So The Brick Car Could Drag It. When He Stopped He Stopped At Lathrix's Shop. He Asked Lathrix If He Could Get It Fixed Up. Lathrix Agreed To, But Lyndon Couldn't Pay The Fee. So He Agreed To Give Lathrix The Turret In Exchange For Fixing Up His Car. Then Lyndon Drove Away, Never Seen Again. Log Excerpt Transcribed by a Drowsy Witch, in regards to the jury rigged mining laser. Expect contact from previous owner's lawyer. The Delix Mining Laser was developed to simply burn through the topsoil and sand, to reveal potential minerals underneath. While it did tend to slag everything in the path of the laser, these chunks were later extracted and valuable minerals and materials removed. Something of an oddity about the laser, was that during mining operations it only ever would use ten percent of its maximum safe power usage. Many engineers working on it during maintenance would remark that it was almost like it was designed for something else. When war broke out and mining crews left these lasers abandoned and untended, they surely would have been left to be whittled away by the desert sands. LORE:these helicopters were used by the scavengers of the desert to pick valuable materials off of the battlefield. this crafts reduced cost and good speed was very helpful in this regard. eventually a weaponised version was created to attack material transport ships.

The hesh tank can be called "Scarad" and the lore can be "An Onx Watch tank that was nearly destroyed by the Dustwind Gypsys came to the Latrixian Empire surrendered and pluged in plans for the tank. Then the Empire modified that tank to two types: The hesh and the 36 mm" The lore covers the minigun tank as well

The Main Tanks background-- 50 years ago the APFSDS round was the most powerful type of shell, HEAT was less good with ERA, but then an undergraduate in the steel empire's central university, designed the first particle shield, selling it to an anarchist group, who then wreaked havoc upon the steel empire before being decisively destroyed, however this rendered hundreds of their old tanks obsolete. the empire dumped them, including a large number, of their new experimental armoured X10-5, the tech of the time meant that the HESH shells needed a significantly larger hull, so couldn't the X10-5s couldn't be modified to have sufficient firepower, and it would be cheaper to make a new tank Then Lathrix came across an abandoned military scrap yard, and brought some cannons.....

Laser hover: Name: the Scrapped Prism Lore: After some time in conflict with the lightning hoods, you started to learn the power of lasers and particle cannons. Every battle you try to salvage some of the weaponry. But to keep looki loos away from their weapons, the lightning hoods add a system where the weapons self destructs when the vehicle get too damaged or AI dead. But after one battle you find that one of the crafts survive with the laser cannon mostly intact. Learning that the charge has failed, you air lift the shell back to base using your hover tow. After a bit of touch up to the laser system, you take the hover tow as a frame and mount the laser off the lightning hoods' craft and attach it to the hover tow officially dubbing it The Scrapped Prism. And of course you salvage the scraps left of the enemy but we don't need to get into too much detail there. Username use: I don't really care if you use my username or not.

I would love to name the tanks Hansel (The hesh one (I don't know if it's actually "hesh", english is not my first language)) and Gretel the gatling one, and here's the story behind them. The Scrapper (Lathrix in this lore) once had a son and a daughter, they were named Alistair and Leliana (references), but they soon gained the nicknames "Hansel" and "Gretel" for their healthy passion for candy and biscuits. Alistair was a strong kid, capable of chopping trees with his father at the young age of 8, while Leliana was very cute, she was Alistair's twin but she was much smaller and willowy than her brother, making the little girl extremely agile. One day, at the age of 17, they were going out with their buggy, which Alistair had refitted with tank threads, and they were on the lookout for good pieces of scrap in a barren valley where the Onyx Watch had recently suffered a surprising loss at the hands of the Dustwind Gypsies. Leliana looked at a precise point in that wasteland, and she pointed it out to Alistair, who was driving, being the worst of the two at seeking good scrap, so he went that way... And when they got out of the buggy, they saw it: a wonderful, very big tank, left by the Onyx Watch totally intact. They only had to drive it home and the family enterprise would have soon become much bigger and economically stronger, which, with their father and their own engineering abilities, would have led to a good defense system and no more worries about the occasional Dustwind Gypsies raiding. But they weren't the only ones to have seen that tank. They couldn't even enter in the hatch of that vehicle that Leliana saw his brother's head perforated with a bullet. She didn't even have the chance to realize what she just saw, A day after, their heads were on pikes left a little beyond the maximum range of the Scrapper's personal turret. He couldn't even bring their bodies home to bury them properly. Now, those tanks, named after their children's nicknames would bring the Scrapper's vengeful destruction on those that one day would be called the Deepwater Guard, and none of them shall escape their sight or their righteous bullets. P.S. Is in honour of the lost genius of his children that the Scrapper made the tanks actually look "non-scrappy", but, instead, very military looking. He wanted them to be beautiful, like his two little candy-eaters were. P.P.S. I don't mind you reading my name. In fact, I would be quite honoured if Hansel and Gretel end up being the names of the tank and my name would be remembered amongst the legion!
