Posting this in videos effected - For the smoke alarm noises in the background, just putting this here so I don't need to spam the response anymore haha - This is a Broken smoke alarm that I did mention in a few previous videos - It's connected to the mains along with battery and so far the landlord has failed to fix it with his electrician - Impossible to record around at this point sadly! I'm not allowed to mess with it due to insurance, regardless if a functioning battery is present or not it still goes off with it's low battery warning so we think the battery section has broke from old age but it's still able to function via the regular electricity , but it wants both for backup just in case. One day it will be gone, hopefully. ^^

you should try sulfur hexafluoride voice when you make a super high power rail gun. (sulfur hexafluoride is used to keep things from arcing in really high voltage areas, however after each hit, you need to empty your lungs, as it's heavy enough that it will sit in your lungs, and if you pass out from it sitting up, potentially suffocate you. so just fully exhale and breathe for a minute after each clip of talking with it)

There is a LUA script out there that lets you use cram cannons as a mortar, but last time I tried it I couldn't hit a barn wall with it, maybe I'm just bad...

cram cannon shell's speed is determined by the barrel length and the shell size. Big size long barrel = fast and most accurate generaly. Small size short barrel = slow very inaccurate and low damage. Crams work great with the bomb shoot from a bomber though

The standard AI will not try to aim at a target if it determines that it would need a firing arc greater than 45 degrees above the target. Carl is correct in suggesting a Lua script for this as that is the only way you're getting a cannon to act like a mortar in FtD.

I'd say it's more that, from a ballistics standpoint, 45 degrees is as long-ranged as it gets, and any higher angle will land in the same place as a lower angle that would have gotten the projectile there faster. Though it would be neat if a weapon or targeting system was added that chose only 45 degree or higher angles instead of lower.

The Desert Storm missile carrier is simply parts from three different vehicles welded together with pipes. The tracks are from the huster Apc. while body is made from the Reaver mech. which was know for how sturdy the armor is but it remains only in the hands of special ops forces because of how rare the materials are. Luckily Neter is full of the materials needed for building it. And the turret is a experimental rocket battery. There have been attempts of making it a part of a giant mech sadly any attempts have failed. The missile battery used to make the first version of the Desert Storm was salvaged from an abandoned prototype called the Titan.

Ive got some lore for the drones keep in mind I got this idea from my first look This vessel was a old cargo drone design which carried goods around the world the design was modified to be worthy of warfare by simply putting a giant missile launcher inside the cargo bay.The originally design also had a few little baggage drones packing the bigger drone with its cargo this design was retrofitted by the scrappers by removing their carry arm and just attaching ammo and fuel.The unique shield drone design was completely made by the scrappers this isn't saying much as the design was basically a bit of shaped metal which was entirely supported by the bigger drone

Lath if you want to make the tank stronger but cheaper you could make a version of it without the turret and make it a tank destroyer. If you do this you should be able to put a bigger gun in the hull and you could maybe up armor the hull too. tho the hull might need to be made longer to make room for the new gun.

A large cram cannon would be interesting however I think the shell might be to slow to really work as a anti-armour weapon. I feel a custom cannon of 150mm / 300mm might be better as long as the guns fire rate is not to high it should be a slow to medium fire rate with high armour pen and good internal damage.

I just had a stupidly fun idea. Build a tank to draw fire, put a turret on it, and add the guidance system for an anti-projectile advanced cannon. Then on the turret put a shield generator, 20 blocks or so out front, only 1x1 meter but maximum power. It would draw enemy fire and bounce cram shells back at their targets :D

This is sort of how I beat one of the Twin Guard campaign missions a long time ago. It was about defending for a certain amount of time from an artillery bombardment by an enemy fleet. I made a custom base for the mission which had huge shields on the sides, and on top was a turret with a small full-power shield on it at a sharp angle. I personally stood on and controlled that turret and played tennis with the CRAM shots, and it was hellacious fun, as well as completely successful. I've never automated the process though, but I imagine it could be a very frustrating form of anti-projectile system to play against.

I think it should be called the Dust Devil. Surrounded in Scrapper Legend. The Dust Devil has an entourage of desert banshees, who aid him on his quests to stalk anyone who dares to stray off into the scrappers territory. He breaths fire and medal, is short tempered, and smoke is emitted from his horns, tempered by the trespassers on his lands. The Scrappers turned this legend into a reality when created this craft. Some say the spirit of the Dust Devil himself possesses the AI of the mechanical beast named after him. Its a start Lathrix, but I'm counting on you to work your magic.

The drone- THE REAPER Law- The reaper was a rescue vehicle or a wrecker for all the factions vehicle, originaly fitted with with harpoons. Name it the LH Scrapper LH is for light headed for joke reasons and for Light Heavy for lore. It was built as a middle ground between the H scrappers, giant heavy mechs that throw nuclear cruise missiles, and the defenseless light scrapper. It’s bots are part of a failed experiment with modular design. The bots are still included, due to the bot needing them to stay afloat, and a lack of effort by the designer to re-design it. The leader continued to produce the craft, however, the bolted together aspect is because it is built of spare parts of non-liberated enemy crafts.

Lathrix, cool thing you can do with stacked turrets I don't see anyone doing: Weapon controller on the base, anti munitions controller on the other turret(s). You get a weapon that will attack the enemy until it fires missiles and then knock them out of the air. Simple lasers can be used like this, and will knock less nibble missiles out of the air on the cheap. I've also been experimenting with pistons that lower small weapons back down through the hall when interior blocks get damaged. I'd love to see more crazy things like that in this channel. The turret update creates all kinds of new possibilities and has greatly increased my interest in From the Depths.

The Düm Drone, christened after its inventor, the Scrapper visionary Theodor Düm, is a highly versatile support vehicle. Its tractor beams, hijacked from the Lightning Hoods, can hold only small tools, but they work together to devastating effect. The use of helium as a lift vector is unconventional, but fairly good at making the Düm stay afloat. Its missile battery is a variation on the ground support vehicle, with longer range but less damage. Just a suggestion.

The design philosophy of the Lathrix Scrappers, later the Lathrixian Empire, has been described as ranging from the sublime, i.e. the Pharaoh tank, to...this unit. Rumor has it that the Cyclops Drone Mothership was created by the Legion's Chief Designer when under the influence of strong drink, and light-headed from a Helium leak. Designed to retrieve the battered remains of the Legion's foes and convert them into weapons and support vehicles, the "Doom Drone", the early prototype's designation, resembled a flying carnival ride, with its satellite drones circling about it, providing munitions, repair, and energy. Armed with a battery of long range missiles and used as a ground attack unit, the Cyclops proved itself in the first battle against the Onyx Watch, striking effectively at units of this armored faction while remaining totally unharmed. The Cyclops earned its battlefield nick-name, "Erratic Bob", from its 'jinxing' in the air, stated to dodge anti-aircraft fire but really resulting from poor vehicle control programming. It was said to be "The scrappiest vehicle ever, air, sea or ground," Onyx Watch crews were said to have been too embarrassed and confused by the Cyclops' appearance to fire it. This design was said to be one of the Chief Designer favorites for its scrapyard aesthetics... "What is that...*thing*?" Said to be the last words of a Rhino crewman. The YardCrane was formerly an ai controlled drone used to move scrap around the yard and retrieve it from the wilderness, but as war drew closer, several YardCranes had their crane apparatus removed and replaced with a missile bank, this bank has been tinkered with over the last few months and now has a larger range than expected. In a flash of inspiration one particular worker decided to suspend a personal project from the side of a retrofitted YardCrane, these little projects allowed the Yardcrane to be customized to almost any situation, the worker now heads development of the YardCrane and the range of additions are far larger. These little drones now delve into the wilds after and even during battles to gather materials from fallen foe and ally alike.

The ACB responsible is right by the flare, it just didn't have a range restriction. I also took the opportunity to modify the casemate turrets so that they can turn to fire on the flanks. This meant I had to reduce the ammo capacity, but being able to fire in more across a 15 degree range for a short time trumps being able to fire in a 10 degree range for a long time on a vehicle that doesn't actively maneuver to use that range. So now the turrets are less volatile, and they can empty the clips, making them even less volatile.

My suggestion for the name and/or lore of the land vehicle:The Apollo Missile Carrier Long ago, what is now known as the Apollo was only a simple cab for a transport vehicle. As technology advanced, there was no more need for the outdated cab, and thus, it was abandoned. Many years later, this cab was found by the Scrappers, buried beneath the dunes around the border to the Onyx Watch's territory. They then bolted and welded on an Artemis long-range missile battery. This feat of engineering was made for the sole purpose of supporting the Scarab and Pharaoh battle tanks against the Onyx Watch and other heavily armored factions from over a kilometer away.

The Pod-(those little crystal thingys) During the advance to Onyx Watch territory the wreck of a mysterious ship was discovered in the middle of the desert. The Pods were salvaged from the Hull of the Missle battleship (yes those capitals are intentional) and quickly repainted with some spare paint because the original green painted was long-gone. Later through some salvaged recording of a great but mysterious battle happened here. then the wreck went through a worm hole as it sank and arrived here and now Some say it’s from the past and some say it’s from the future. Eventually the old tractor beam technology was used to couple them with an old drone to be used as a pocket storage

The shield isn't big enough to be useful unless you have some way to make the spinblock controlled to hold it between it and the enemy, and even then it's probably too small. For new vehicles, is there a limit to how much you can put on a single missile? Because a vehicle dedicated to deploying just one missile with all the warheads instead of a dozen little missiles might be different. Sort of a SCUD launcher equivalent.

name for the doom drone and it's pods (some little lore as well): Doom Element Every time Scrappers find something unusual in the ashes, they find a use for it. This drone has been left over from conflict's when the Steel Empire was still forming, serving as an experimental small vehicle transport (something like bikes, pods with soldiers). The transport technology has survived the many conflicts, but the engine compression tech didn't make it out, and thus the Scrappers were forced to eliminate all the shields, exept for one in the front. the anchient stabilisation systems are also functioning very weridly with the new AIs. the design was seen to be very short lifed, untill the Scrappers saw how to use the docking stations on it. this made ist possible to transport small pods with bonus engines, ammo, resources, or just basic armor plates, strapped form Onyx Watch Tanks. the As the Scarlet Dawn stays in High orbit, unseen by any of the Neter factions, waiting for the moment of biggest weakness of the planet's forces, decided to call the support pods of element's of life, depending on the lights on them: Ammo (yellow) Light elemental, Resource storage+repair (blue) Darkness el., Shield (light blue) Water el., fuel engine (red)* Fire el. etc. As for the drone itself, due to it's destructive potencial, is called the Doom Element. * - Not known yet, maybe will not exist at all, or have other function

The H.I.V-M.P., or helium induced vertical missile platform, is a conversion works built from decommissioned government reconassaince drones. The drones, either shot down during operation, or out living their shelf life, were taken to local scrap yard for recycling and recommissioning purposes. After the outcome of the Great War, the drones found a new use, as the many scrap yards of the wastes soon vied for power. Equipped with a salvo of Helitrix missiles, and a dozen or so directional thrusters for greater mobility, the H.I.V-M.P. is also equipped with salvaged targeting systems and internal fire suppression systems. While not the most potent of weaponry, the H.I.V-M.P. makes for a great dual purpose reconnasaince/harrier asset.

Forgive me for the excessively long lore, but I felt the need to share it. The AMB-666 'Hellspawn' was once a part of an absolutely massive craft, nicknamed 'The 3 Headed Dragon' in the last war. The GMAB-1998 'Lucifer' was actually a scrapped concept in the Empire in the extremely far past, 1998. There were three 'Hellspawns' as the heads, all without rotor blades. The middle one had 12 extremely large drones, nearing half the size of the head, that were orbiting around it at roughly 12 m/s. The Empire had this in construction for more than half the war, and the results were devastating. The 'Lucifer' had 3 necks for each head, and they connected to form the main body. Though impractical, the entire middle section was decorated with CRAM cannons, advanced cannons, and even lasers. What it lacked in defense, it definitely made up for in firepower. This monstrosity could even take down four Rhinos, three Lux Aeterna, two Land Marauders and finally, one experimental Scarlet Dawn. However, even with its absurd amount of layered armour, munitions defense and shields, it was one craft that was able to take it down. One craft that struck its weak spot. What was it called, you may ask? It was a cheap and experimental scouting drone with a poorly made stability system, at the time called Droney. That's right. Droney. Droney got one lucky shot off that made it through the neck armour plates and hit the ammo storage, causing a chain reaction. A large chunk landed near the scrapper base, buried under rubble for years. Only now has the Hellspawn been uncovered, and it's ready to wreak havoc once more. Missiles? You know what to do.

I think you should call the drone the Renomus. Its a slightly modified version of summoner spelled backwards. I merely turned the double M to s single M. You can say It summons its drones from the remains of its enemies.

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but we do try to maintain a 3k volume limit for standard OW tanks. This is because their entire aesthetic works far better with the extra volume, they generally focus more on being well armored as opposed to relying on shields, and CRAM can be rather volume hungry. An actual quote from their design guidelines is "If your design doesn't have at least three cannons you'll be laughed out of the OW tank club."

By the way, it seems like Gladyon's next project is to completely overhaul ACBs, and part of that includes logic functions as I recall him saying. In the meantime, have fun with the holoprojector under the decorations tab, it works like a poster crossed with a shield projector.

It looks like the head of an ancient cyclopean Titan, salvaged and turned into a copter (would explain advanced drones). The Titan's Head now flies around salvaging parts to one day rebuild its old body.

How do you rather like "The Collector"... makes it a lot more dark and probably even easyer to weave lore around ^^ For example (and I'm certain there are similar stories out there already) just imagine the picture of someone going around and "frankensteining" parts of his victims together to make them his minions... and maybe even make an ultra-version that started the whole thing and now controls all of his puppets as a hivemind-thingy

The dragonfly is a flying vehicle meant to be an air transport ship but the plans where changed. After the defeat of the Dustwind gypsies, The watchers needed an upgrade after the destruction of many they needed a more buff air copter. Then realizing the Dragonflies plans are a lot more efficient the only problem, however, was the cost. Then they needed more power and/or ammunition hence the 2 extra drones for steam engines or ammunition stocks. After the initial plans where put in place of the record and built. Then it was put the test on the effectiveness of the aircraft hence the video.

I know I all ready said this but call it the orbital because the lore I came up with is about how it flies over war zone to pick up scrap weather it was friend or foe to make little drones called moons in which they have their affect on the orbital in which it depend on what was used to make them

I have some basic lore for the new drone. It should be a scavenger that converts the remains of enemy's into its orbiting drones and it constantly improves itself with this.
