Hi Julie! I am a sewer/quilter/crafter & have made several cosmetic-type bags from placemats after seeing a video of a lady making them. You do have to sew, though, because you add a zipper. I love your ideas of making pillows as well. And that copper patina paint-LOVE it 💗💗

New to your channel.. went over to your on line shop, wow how didnt i already know??! I just love the baby shoes styled for decor, the antique baby shoes, that you rarely find, are precious too! I've been on the hunt, with NO luck🫤 i love making pillows with place mats...i made Christmas ones and glued two of the same together, stuffed and embellished with decorative buttons, turned out really cute. I really enjoyed the video and love all your decor and upcycles, so many great ideas!

Thanks for the tip on placemat hack ideas - I love the pillows you made. I’m going to look at placemats differently now. I really like how you show us what you got at the thrift store and then do a thrift flip. I’m not a fan of shopping with you but this way is fun and interesting. I have that exact basket that you split up and made 2 different baskets out of. I really appreciate your perspective of splitting it up. I’m going to give it a try. Definitely ❤ the baby shoes and placemat diys!! I got some placemats in a haul that had shrunk in the dryer and cut them apart. They ended up being 3 layers of awesomeness that I’m still using in projects! I can find uses for darn near anything. 😂
