Hey I saw one of your clips on a youtube shorts. Im curious what lawn mower you used. I Totalled a ninja 400 late last year but the engine is good condition. I was going to build a go cart but im sold on the beefed up lawnmower. Also any tips going into the project would be appreciated.

Yeah and if there's something I forget to mention just let me know but I started out with a 1997 or 1998 craftsmen lawn mower my neighbor blow up and I thought at the time it was not the greatest choice but when I got some other doner garden tractors for future projects they were not the strongest platforms example club codet very thin and not a lot of steel framing newer john deeres and craftsmens are light and thin but there not intended to do what were doing to them lol I went over a 100 mph on the mower in the shorts you probably seen with just 2x2 angle iron down both sides of the bottom of the frame and beefed up tie rod links to all the steering replaced front wheel bushings with bearings a 4 wheeler rear axle and the snowmobile engine tips make #1 goal safety make #2 goal safety and #3 as fast as you can go I had a tire not rated for those speeds blow into 2 pieces and I rolled my mower at over 50 or 60 mph and broke my left side pelvis and my right side collar bone im not sure what your situation is or how old you are but im 36 years old with a wife and 2 kids and I about lost everything not being able to work for a minute I had to start working 2 months before I was supposed to and lied to my doctors so they wouldn't get all pissed lol if you have any build question let me know if i can be of any help and thanks for checking out video or videos please share and tell anybody you know to subscribe thanks and good luck on your project!!!

Is your gearing from drive axle to secondary jack shaft 1-1 gear ratio ?

Sorry doing a similar build and using the gear case from sled just getting confused with how to set up the gears from the gear case to axle

I have done one to one from the secondary to the drive axle and it was freaking horrible. It wanted to burn belts and have nothing out of the hole. Not that the motor doesn’t make enough power but it’s hard to get something with that gearing to get going, so I’m running from the secondary I have a 13 or 14 tooth sprocket and when I’m doing top speed I’ll run a 20 or smaller and when I’m in the dirt or the ice I’ll run a 30 or bigger

And what I found to be the perfect gearing is, if you mark your secondary clutch and then mark your tire you wanna be four turns on the secondary clutch or more to one revolution on the tire, which I would think would be four to one. six to ones pretty insane That’s what I use in the dirt

Can't wait to see this ting run!

I can’t wait to find some time and a place to run it out that’s been one of the problems with making it as fast and loud as it is it’s not one of those projects you can just test anywhere anymore lol but hope to test very soon and try to get some decent footage of it we’ll see?

@@jakesautofabrication Best of luck. Can you try making it quieter? Maybe itll raise less flags lol
