And nobody remembers Patrice Lumumba, the first elected Prime Minister of the independent Democratic Republic of the Congo. Assassinated by rebels in a joint American/Belgian operation to prohibit oil from being (potentially) sold to Russia in the 60's. Democracy was replaced by a military dictatorship.

2 questions: The supply:floar ratio, if Nuclear Fusion is realised (energy too cheap to meter), the float would dramatically increase. Would it make Bitcoin less hard? One saving grace is that Bitcoin is capped at 21m. What is the problem with MMT, in layman terms?

Most people are blind to the impact of the petrodollar system an how it supports their lifestyles. Even a restructuring will panic many boomers thus carry the system forward much longer than it would left to its on devices. As to dependency on fossil fuels you had best get used to it. Everyone focuses on coal and fuels for transportation but that is only part of the picture. Simply put every aspect of our lives is dependent on the petrochemical industry. From food to medicine to housing to even you clothing comes from derivatives of fossil fuels. Even if you jump to electric cars tomorrow, we will still have to pull oil and gas from the ground to build all the components that goes into those cars. Once we move to modular Nuke and power costs drop to near zero will it be economical to move away from that dependency

why cant tyrants and wealthy accumulate the most bitcoin and do with it what was done with gold or petrodollars?
@Tenebrousable3 жыл бұрын
The printing is what is done with petrodollars. That's the thievery part. That can not be done with BTC. The only way to get BTC, is to exchange it for something your trading partner wants more. That's very good. Have tyrants get all the BTC they want, they'll have to sell their dictatorship to the people to get it. It's almost unbeliavably beatifull.

It would still be decentralized and deflationary. even if you were the last person on earth to get into BTC, 100% of your monetary energy would be preserved by the bitcoin standard.
