‘From the river to the sea’ chant means ‘nothing else’ but ‘genocide’

Former Jewish Leadership Council chair Jonathan Goldstein discusses his concerns with the dark meaning behind the pro-Palestinian chant ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’.
Mr Goldstein sat down with Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan to discuss the rising anti-Semitism among pro-Palestinians as the Israel-Hamas war continues.
“We all know that from ‘the river to the sea Palestine will be free’ - where the population of Israel is 10 million, of which 8 million almost are Jewish people, means a land free of Jewish people,” Mr Goldstein told Mr Morgan.
“It can mean nothing else - it is a genocidal message.
“The fact that it is being encouraged by the leadership of those rallies, creates hate, creates incitement.”

My grandfather was nearly killed trying to protect his Jewish workers. As a result he lost everything and was forced to flee with his family, ending up in a refugee camp in Krakow. He has always been my hero because of his courage and willingness to do the right thing. I absolutely love that man. Thank God there are millions of heroes in the world. My grandfather's name was Adolphe Beck (yes it's ironic). He was a farmer, livestock trader and owned a dry goods business in Bessarabia. One day the SS showed up at his business to collect his Jewish workers. He knew why they were there and he physically fought several soldiers from Einsatzgruppe (look them up). He was beaten badly for his efforts. He was able to hide some of his worker's family members. That's all. He never saw himself as a hero. I do.
