I was given all three volumes of your book last Christmas. I had the black and white edition before that! Great stuff! 👍

Awesome! My thanks to you and whomever gifted them to you.

Maybe it's just a placebo, but I got my copy in a few days ago and I watched a random episode and it looks a LOT more clear and sharp compared to stresming off Disney+. Streaming will always look inferior to physical, of course, but this particular release looks phenomenal, almost demo-worthy.

No Blu Ray doesn't make much sense considering there isn't any other standard HD format. It's the same reason DVD lasted so long. There wasn't an SD format to take its place. I think they'll do a standard Blu Ray release of the complete series

I'd hope so eventually, but I don't think the comparison really works anymore, given that all physical releases (including HD) have been mostly supplanted by streaming. They seem to be aiming much more for the high-end home theater crowd at this point, which would also account for Dolby Vision on these for the first time since TLJ's initial 4K disc.

Hopefully clone wars season 7 blu ray comes next

Full series 4K please 🙏 (I know the first six seasons aren't on 4K as of right now, but I can dream.)

It's going to be interesting. Personally, I'm betting Skeleton Crew S1 and TBOBF S1 maybe. Round out the live action. They seem uninterested so far in releasing the animated D+ series.

@@ChronoRadiois it possible to order your incredible books directly from you? Not wanting a kindle version and finding physical copies is next to impossible where I am. ❤

@@davidleavitt835 Physical copies are only available via Amazon, as it's published through their service (Kindle Direct Publishing, which used to be CreateSpace).

With disney+ around, there does not seem to be a priority to release physical media for the animated star wars series, like clone wars, bad batch, rebels, tales of… whether individual seasons or complete series box sets. They also skipped over book of boba fett release. I have no 4k setup, all my dvd and bluray work just fine with my 15 year old 5.1 setup still, which is why I have yet to upgrade my whole television to 4k, and 5.1 to 7.2. Should I just try to get copies of these newer 4k releases just in case? Steelbook is a nice gimmick especially when I already have the previous releases, although in standard bluray. Great thorough content by the way 👍🏼

Rebels have all seasons in Blu ray

18:29 Did you forget to mention that James Earl Jones passed too?
@ChronoRadioАй бұрын
That isn't relevant to this release (nor, as it turns out, to Ahsoka S1). Only those three mentioned individuals come up in the BTS features for this wave of releases. I'd have to go back and watch, but I don't recall if James Earl Jones actually had any role in Ahsoka when Vader appears. He doesn't appear in the IMDB credits if so.

In The Terms of The Way that Sony is Handling The Physical Media Rights to Disney Stuff in US and Canada other than The Address and Distribution Tagline the rest of it does look pretty Similar the design that has already been used when Disney was already producing them by Buena Vista

I'm one of those sorely disappointed. I can't play 4K.Even if I wanted to, I watch most of my physical media on my computer 4K disks are not compatible on PCs(it was for a brief time but was dropped).Yes, I'm going to import the U.K. releases because I have no choice but I hate importing. I absolutely hate it and have only done it three times in 2017-2019 for some of the Marvel T.V. shows after they were not released in the U.S.
@ChronoRadioАй бұрын
Blu-ray 3D has gotten me used to importing, but it can still suck even after being used to it. Spider-Man: No Way Home only got a Blu-ray 3D release on a region-locked Australian disc, so I ended up having to get a modded "all-region" Blu-ray 3D player to have that in my collection (for actual viewing).
@robertmedina4520Ай бұрын
I am not sure if this would be helpful for you, but you can mod a blu-ray external pc drive to read 4k discs. I don't have a 4k TV (I have 2 3D TVs that are 1080p and they still work great) so I convert my physical collection to .mkv (including 4k and 3d blu-ray disc). I connect an Nvidia Shield to my TV and use the Kodi app to play the files. It can be a lot of work (and 4k files uncompressed are huge, 25 - 60 gb per movie), so importing will probably still be preferable for you until they phase out standard blu-ray.
@lioneljacobs6874Ай бұрын
@@robertmedina4520 Thanks for the advice. I'm lousy when it comes to computers so importing is probably easier in this case. I have an internal LG BD drive and use Cyberlink Power DVD and that's work great for me.

if you don't mind paying 70 bucks for every release its something to rejoice. Laughs. It's like old 1980s VHS price. Or early DVD tv series set pricing. DIsney and Sony have a lot to answer for with these prices. Willow 4K combo should have been 39.99 not 65.00. and the Star Wars shows should be on standard blu-ray at 40 dollars. I personally ponied up 170 us for all 3. But not everyone can afford that. With shipping and tax its closer to 200.00 an absurd amount of money, For two shows and one film.
@ChronoRadioАй бұрын
For what it's worth, the fact that they are SteelBooks and 4K discs instead of standard Blu-ray would account for a higher price point than standard packaging or standard Blu-ray, and many online retailers had these for cheaper by release day, usually with a price guarantee of some kind. And, even though it sucks not to have Blu-ray, it's also just one release per product this time, so a far cry from when collectors were slammed by multiple. (I think some collectors still have PTSD from 2020 collecting, even ignoring the pandemic...) I'll be curious to see how far the price for Willow falls before it ships. Mine is preordered through Amazon, so it'll get the lowest price the bring it down to and, if lower within a set period after release, a refund would be issued. Sadly, no Willow TV series to go with it, though.

I got mine at Target with a B2G1 Black Friday deal. Made the price a lot cheaper.
