Not a bad idea, but... I feel like more could've been done with done this... like it starting with Frank only on the first verse and chorus, then Laufey on the second verse and Frank and Laufey doing harmony after, etc... this feels just a tad bland as a mashup 😅. From The Start sounds better on its own than this (no offense to Mr. Sinatra ❤) -- this needs a bit more creativity.

I think AI is hella terrible, especially for artists who are genuinely trying to make it in this world, so I don't respect this post as much as I would, but it's still, nonetheless, beautiful. I cannot say for painting, but in music, a piece of work becomes public domain and is free of any copyright only after the artist has passed for 70 years. Frank Sinatra died 25 years ago, and Laufey is very much alive. But you're using not just Laufey's creation, but both of their voice, especially Frank Sinatra's fed through an AI model to imitate him, without their consent. Yes, it's absolutely disgusting and disrespectful af.

It's called residuals in a trickle-down economy. You might be gone and forgotten in a few hundred years but there are people still living now depending on this as parts of their incomes. Why the fuck do you think Hollywood is having a strike right now? It also dilutes the market value of the song. Why would anyone care to listen to the copyright authentic recordings of any songs anymore when they can just get a free version generated by AI. Preserving legacy is a weakass excuse. If you want to preserve the artist legacy, then you preserve the real thing, not this imitation that was made without his permission.
