I just got my guitar yesterday and i'm just a bit nervous because i'm terrible right now. Which is understandable considering its literally my first day, but seeing you play one of my favorite songs so well just makes me motivated. Got any tips for me?

i’m also new at guitar! i bought mine 3 weeks ago and jst started lessons :). the tips i can give you is make sure to tune your guitar before you start playing, and check it frequently. also when muting certain strings i learnt you don’t need to press very hard, just slightly press down or it will still make noise. try to keep your hand holding the neck of the guitar behind it

try to not feel nervous, try to play some keys, and try to slide them half step and full step, there you will unlock the same key on different frets XD. Also try to bear the pain from the guitar strings, you'll get used to it. Do some finger stretch before jamming, and start slowly until you could hear the key sounds right. It might be vary for other peeps, but keep jamming the same song until you could do the song, i repeat, do the song, not playing it perfectly, thats literally how i did learn guitar quick, but you have to set a goal for any song you like, like this for example, it's quite simple, but Perfecting your play comes later after you play alot of songs, which might consist of various genre. I myself like alot of genre and tbh im still beginner level skill at guitar till now, but that doesnt mean i couldnt improve my play, at some certain song i could play it perfectly, others i couldnt, dont have much time to jam so yeah its one of the factor, but back then when i was at highschool i was able to do alot of jams.
