The Remington Model 51 was made from harder steel over Colt's softer steel. I had both and they were .32 ACP until they were stolen. The Model 51 was a smoother firing pistol as the Colt was prone to muzzle flip upon firing.

Its probably a mistake about the slide starting to move only after the breach block hits the stop. At first bolt and slide are travelling together like in blowback guns, then the bolt hits the stop, but the slide got enough energy to tilt the bolt out of this recess. Then bolt and slide go together again.

For getting the slide on, I just partially incert an empty magazine, hold down the hammer and pull and hold the trigger. This way you can let the barrel back into the slide without having to do that 3 handed operation you just did

I have one I just got, and its in serious need of cleaning. I haven't found out how to open up the bottom yet, but I have ideas I want to try. I think the grip pin is the key to the kingdom, so to speak.

I would like to see two pistols in your program. One is the German-made Haenel .25 cal pistol. It has a unique system and is a nice-looking little pistol. The second pistol is the Sauer & Sohns 38H. It is a .32 cal German-made pistol. It has features that make it really uniques and classy.

Not delayed blowback. Definitely a locked breach. You cannot open the gun by putting a rod down the barrel. Peterson called it hesitation LOCK not hesitation delay
