Great episode! You overcame the mechanical issue with the help of local strangers, who quickly became like family to you. You got to fly and expose the children to something they would otherwise never see. I was overjoyed to view this week's update. (And I'm glad you tied Evil Villain #42 back into the story, as I was wondering how she was going to find out about your issue and catch up to you.

Thanks Greg. Yes, it was wonderful to have her there with me to experience these people and also to see the struggles that I go through on the road. Sometimes blessings come from the most unlikely circumstances, and this was definitely one of those cases. I'm glad you liked the episode, and there is much more to come. I really wish everyone could experience the things I get to see and enjoy. Thanks so much for writing, always good to hear from you.

Great to see that EV is getting to experience the love and hospitality of the people like you have enjoyed throughout your adventures!

Couldn't agree more! She really needed to see what it was like on the road and to experience the joy and trials that make all of this happen. I think it will be a trip she won't soon forget. Thanks for watching and writing me. Always good to hear from you brother.

Kris this is my favorite video yet. Loved seeing the locals and the way they do things. Cooking by campfire, the smiles and fun everyone had. The memories you created for them and them for you. Likely those kids have never met an American maybe. They got to see something that may possibly will change their path in life. Definitely will change their dreams and make fun stories to tell their friends. This one was really neat! Seeing everyone’s excitement was heart warming. I’m glad EV 42 was able to catch up with you and experience all this! Travel safe Look forward to seeing what the next adventure holds

Thanks Eric! This was a very special week for me and the people were amazing. It was very cool how we immediately became like family to everyone. You're correct, they had never met any foreigners before, much less anyone from North America. EV42 loved being there with me and she had a great time with all the people too. Thanks for writing and the adventures just get better and better! Hope you're getting in some good flights and your health is good.

Hi from South Africa. Only one thing comes to mind after viewing this video: From adversity comes strength. 1Peter5:10 to keep you strong for the rest of your journey.

Thank you! It is very kind of you to write me and bless me with the words of Peter. I am so happy that I merely have common struggles and not like those people who were going through the unjust suffering Peter was writing to. I have blessings that are overwhelming, and I take strength in knowing that I will always be taken care of. Hopefully I can share some of what I see through my videos. Thank you for writing me. Reading this was just what I needed. (I hope to one day visit your country and fly there)

Hey Ripa. Wow, the flights were amazing but the people were overwhelmingly kind and warm to us. This was very special indeed! More to come - and many, many more flights too! I'll keep posting. Thanks for writing.

Way to stay vigilant and charged amidst the trials. I love the way you embrace the unknown, your truly blessed to be a huge blessing to others. Now I feel on fire for humanity looking at all those eyes of the children and and how they dropped everything to help you succeed and feed you guys…how cool is that…. Love it!

I tell EV#42 all the time that I am blessed beyond measure. In everything give thanks, and the overflowing blessings come. I am very fortunate to be here, and even more fortunate that I can share a little piece of it with others. Oh, and the food was delicious! So good! It was so nice to have some homemade dinners. Losing my chain turned into an epic week for me. More adventures to come! It just gets better and better.

Thank you. Yes, the people made the whole week something that I will always remember. I am so fortunate to have met them, even if it was through getting stranded on the side of the road. Thanks for watching and thank you for writing me.

Man, what a turn of events! Thought that being stranded on the side of the road was going to be a much longer ordeal than that. Talk about coming across good fortune!! The folks you have met has been such a great addition to this story. Amazingly warm people! So happy to see my 'pilot friend' back in the air. The joy of flying is so obvious!! I'm in envy mode! Yes, the area looked much like your videos from Terrel. I'm thinling I shoild see I20 any second!! LOL! Good to catch up, looking forward to next week!

It was so fortunate that I happen to lose my chain exactly where another car had broken down. And then for the guy to be a motorcycle mechanic - this was over the top. Carlos and his family were so good to me. I can't even explain how kind and wonderful it was to meet him. A very soft-spoken man and an excellent mechanic! The town's people were just like Carlos and his family - so warm and inviting. This was such a reprieve from coming off the Andes. Warmth for the soul. Ha ha... yeah - even the trees and the ground were similar to Terrell! It was like I was back home with family. I'm so blessed I could experience the town of Embarcacion. I'll never forget it. Oh - and the beef from the area was amazing! Just like Texas! Thanks for writing me again. Many more and epic adventures coming! This just gets better and better!

I'm pausing after you said "they're going to tow me with the car". Man, you have a lot of faith in people. I pulled a guy out of a ditch one time and he didn't stop after I got him out and drove across the highway. So now the tow strap is tight and crossing 2 lanes of traffic on a major highway. I jumped out and tried to get the rope off but I couldn't get it. There was a semi coming down the road so I had to stand in the highway jumping up and down hoping he would stop. Thankfully he did. That could've been a really bad situation. And then the guy who I pulled out never even said thanks after I unhooked him. Be safe out there. Edit: you're a smart man lol. You had someone else ride the bike= genius haha
@mydogischoking3 ай бұрын
Yeah I thought it was pretty sketchy that they were going to tow me with the car, but I was up for it because I knew I had to get it to the mechanic shop. I've been in South America long enough now that I know there is plenty of sketchy stuff that goes on around here with motor vehicles. I was pretty happy when he volunteered to drive it, and he even did it without accepting the helmet! Good times! Love the comment.

Awesome blessing in disguise by dropping the chain hahaha Is evil villain #42 your wifey or gf my fellow ppg flying brotha?
@mydogischoking5 ай бұрын
Yes it was definitely a blessing in disguise! Totally agree! Yes, EV#42 is my second half. Couldn't do life without her support and I'd be half a man without her.

I'll make another comment because my other one was kinda long. I want to get into flying but I'm nervous about the time I might go in between flights. Like you said, it was 3 weeks since your last flight. I might end up going 1 month or more between flights due to my job. I've heard people say this is more of a lifestyle commitment than a hobby. In your honest opinion is it risky going long periods of time between flights? Thank you
@mydogischoking3 ай бұрын
It really depends on how you fly. If you take it seriously and fly safely, then I wouldn't worry about the time between flights. Just know your limits and your skill level. Don't jump into a wing you are not ready for if you aren't flying regularly. Stick with an A or B wing if you have long time periods between flights and you'll be fine.
