I am back in the States now taking a little break and fixing all of the things that got neglected while I was out of the country. Lots and lots of work to do while I wait for the rains to subside in the Amazon, but as soon as they do I'll be back on the road. I'll be checking out Uno Moto soon, when I have some free time to relax a little. I'll put up an update video soon so you'll see how busy I am at the moment. Thanks for the comment my friend.

I kid you not that I was just thinking that I suddenly remember flying an LED lighted prop, but hadn't seen it. A minute into the video, you are flying that fancy prop I seem to recall from before your travels. I hate the news dfor now, but look forward to the next season. Right before the holidays here may work out to be good timing for you. Anyway thanks for making my Thursdays more enjoyable.

@2cqql1Ай бұрын
Oh man, I'm bummed out, as you are for sure. My Thursdays won't be the same for awhile. I understand completely, though. Weather and location has its limitations on a lot of activities. But, I also know from watching since the beginning when you were still flying at your home outside of Terrell, that you are one tough traveler. If there were a way, you would do it. Thanks for taking the viewers on such an epic journey. I have learned a lot about people and geographics through this time with you. That, I hope, brings joy to you. It looks as if you have inspired those "beginners" to enjoy the "playground" a bit! Footdrags!!! Finally! So cool to see that done in such a remote part of the world, that's a new one, for sure.I have to add that I wish my knees and legs were still strong enough for 'foot launches' because I see you flying in places where that is only possible. I assume you will be back to flying back in Texas? If so, I'll be watching. As for new adventures, or added adventures, you might do what I watched Mark Hunneycut do, fly from Mexico to Canada. Beautiful western terrain.......but, that isn't exactly a "playground", more like a grueling cross country!! Anyway, Kris, thanks and I'll be watching for more adventures. And as always, be safe and Blue Skies! (Hello to 42!)
@mydogischokingАй бұрын
I am bummed, but I'm really looking forward to the break. This last year has been hard on me and I could use some time to recover from the grueling journey. It was tough. I don't show a lot of the daily troubles I go through and it's those that wear you out more than anything. I'll miss riding the bike, but this gives me time to get some much needed parts from the States and bring them back. I definitely had a lot of joy in this last year too, and I'll miss meeting new faces and sharing with so many wonderful people. I'll put up a few updates from the States but I won't keep such a rigorous schedule of posting videos as I need a bit of a break from that too (posting each week is actually more difficult that it probably looks). I catch Mark's videos every once in a while but it is difficult to find time for watching videos on the road so I'll catch up on his adventures when I'm back home. I think I'll do some 'mini-adventures' back in the States to keep my skills up. Thank you so much for following me on the journey this year! I can't thank you enough for all the comments and kind words each week. So much appreciated. (42 says hello and thank you)!

I love that even though you were cooped up on the boat for so long, you exercised restraint when deciding not to fly with the thermally conditions. Great to see the adventure continue.
@mydogischokingАй бұрын
Thanks Greg. I try to be safe when it makes sense. It's always best to live to fly another day. For me, flying is about enjoyment and when you are working to keep your glider from collapsing and getting knocked around wanting to be on the ground, then it's work and not fun. I'd rather fly for fun. I know it's only one small mistake and my adventure is over, so I have to be fairly conservative this far from home. The next flight coming up was definitely FUN! Can't wait until Thursday to get your comment.
@kurtmoorelifeinthesky7993Ай бұрын

I am so glad you keep watching my adventure. I try to tell the story of the whole adventure and not just the flying although I know a lot of my subscribers just watch for the flying part, but to me, it's so much more than that. I should be in the States soon, so let's plan a time to fly together. Just let me know where/when and if the weather cooperates I'll be there.

Eustaquio you have to come fly here after the rainy season is over. Definitely come fly over the meeting of the waters (bring floatation). I think you'd enjoy it here. But don't forget about Colombia too!
@2cqql1Ай бұрын
Hey Kris! Another video that doesn't disappoint. More views of the river that just blow my mind. It's hard to believe how wide it gets at different points. I've never seen rivers that merge with that type of physical reaction. Amazing. I think the only thing close to that, that I've seen is where the Indian and South Atlantic meet at Cape Town. Amazing phenomena. I'm just wondering how much tension there was for you when they were trying,, with a lot of effort, to pick your bike up to that ramp!!! Decades old river transportation.....they really got it down! I can imagine the relief that came with no damage. You may have mentioned and I just dont remember, what engine are you using? Vitterozi or Moster? Have you had many 'stomach churning' moments with engine sputter, or stoppage? Just can't help but think of engine out moments over some of that jungle!!! Your thoughts? Sure was some nice flight videos there at the last. Fun, fun, fun! Looking forward to the advice you get about your next 'leg' of the adventure. Until then, be safe, and Blue Skies!
@mydogischokingАй бұрын
It's amazing how many times you can't see the other side of the river. Most of the time the captain would hug the shore because we are heading upriver, and when he does that, you can't see the other side. We went through a lot of tributaries too, and the narrower video clips are when we were in a tributary. I liked the tributaries better because of the wildlife you could see in the trees (couldn't really get it on video though). The bats at night would swoop over the ship and some of them were huge. Beautiful creatures they are, and very fast. The bike over the plank was an effort for all of us, and extremely stressful for me. So glad it worked out. That made the heart jump quicker for sure. The engine I use on the paramotor is a Vittorazi Moster. Moster is the standard 185cc model. They also make an Moster Factory R, which is a lighter version with a little more horsepower, and a Moster EFI that eliminates the carburetor. Their other models are the Atom 80, and the Cosmos 300 (primarily used for trikes). I trust my motor a lot and Vittorazi is known for making an engine that is fairly trustworthy. So I haven't worried to much about it when flying over trees or water. But it is in the back of my mind. Plans are changing rapidly, so I'll let you know where I'm heading next. Probably won't be what we all expect.
@Pjc05002Ай бұрын

@mydogischokingАй бұрын
It definitely wasn't, but I needed to get west so I could continue on my journey, and I didn't have a whole lot of choices. The break was nice, and the flying has been so spectacular here. Thanks for the comment. See you next week.
