I'm a big fan. I must say, I did some machine to make pet bottle filament myself. But I never had a differential gear in mind. Congratulations my friend! You're a very creative person and technically gifted as well.

Hi, how are you? The first thing I have to tell you is congratulations for the excellent work, the best I saw on the internet, I have a couple of questions to ask you: 1. I have a DRV8825 driver, can I use them instead of the A4988 driver? 2. I have a nema 17, can I use it instead of the nema 23 by modifying the parts? 3. Finally, I read in a comment that you said that you are about to finish another machine, when do you think you will have it ready? to see if I do this or wait. thank you so much

Thanks for your comments, you can use any other driver and also Nema 17 but for better torque, Nema 23 is best.

Hi (again). Did you upload the design for the bottle cutting side somewhere too (the knife holder and the bottle cap with ball bearings...)? Because those parts are not included in the link from this video :( Also, from the main assembly, there are two gears missing (the small ones, with 10 teeth, that drive the spools on both sides).
@M.SKhan123

Those two missing parts have been added. Also, there is a new and better video for bottle cutting. Please watch it.

Grazie mille .... hi, I saw that this project is complete compared to the others, you inserted the bottle cut in series with everything, I was looking at the electrical diagrams of the other projects and I noticed that you didn't insert the bottle cut, is it possible to have the electrical diagram and the arduino code with this addition? thanks

how do you control the diameter of the filament? there is any closed loop system for that?
@M.SKhan123
@M.SKhan123 10 ай бұрын
The diameter of the filament depends on 3 factors, nozzle diameter, temperature, and speed. Nozzle diameter is 1.7 mm and temperature is 200 to 215 degrees.

Have you upload any additional videos about this? I saw nothing new :( A simple list of parts and dimensions (text format!) would have been more than enough. It would have been great to know you used some weird rods (7mm diameter???) for the differential gear, BEFORE making the parts. @@M.SKhan123

@@M.SKhan123 Thank you for the info! I discovered that there are also ball bearings for 8mm that have 19mm diameter (just like the ones for 7mm), I will buy some of these. But some parts I will have to modify and re-print (the differential gears) to accomodate 8mm rods. PS. in the dif_gear_body 1 & 2, one hole is a bit smaller (only 4.0mm) than the other 3 (4.5mm) - it's not a big problem, but the parts need some after-printing processing so that the M4 screw can get through.
