Great video bro. I've definitely played the clearance/Sale waiting game on Legends throughout the years. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does'nt. Always wild to see some of the oddballs that end up 5times the value on the second market though.

Stuff that hits hard in the late spring resets, especially movie stuff, probably has a better chance of ending up getting cleared out at places like Best Buy, Gamestop and Amazon later in the year.

Great Video as always! I’d love to see you do this for Star Wars 3.75” figures (or just vintage collection). Here’s a few I noticed over the years: my local Wal Mart had 2 or 3 pegs FULL of Wooof figures for $6. My local Toys R Us had tons of Willrow Hood marked down to maybe $8 or so, and Brian’s Toys clearanced their exclusive Jocasta Nu figure to around $20. As you’re well aware they all go for way more than that now.

When amiibos first came out, there was the original Kirby figure that sat at the stores in my area for years. Every time I passed it up until slowly I started noticing that they started carrying less and less Kirbys until one day, when I had amassed a large amiibo collection, I wanted the Kriby one; it was gone everywhere and going for for double the retail on the second had market.

One peg warmer that has made me a lot of money this year was the TRU exclusive A-Force 5 pack. It retailed for $120, but it was readily available and easy to obtain for about $70. The price for the set took a little hit when Hasbro rereleased Lady Loki, but it still sells for about $275 now. The biggest draws right now are for Spectrum and Elsa Bloodstone, who both have appeared in Disney+ shows and are unavailable anywhere else. Spectrum sells for about $100 and Elsa just hit an all time high of $135 since Werewolf By Night premiered. If you have any of those figures in your collection, I'd sell while the prices are high because they're ripe for rereleases, just like Loki.

Since Werewolf By Night premiered, the desirability of the Man Thing BaF itself has risen considerably, whereas before it was pretty average. It's gone from selling for less than $80 to up above $130, which raises the price for the wave as a whole.

I sold toybiz figs years ago. Nearly all figs sat warming shelves for months! Only spidey/wolverine/hulk/Thor were figs that sold. Even cap sat around for ages in AU. Plus I took out the rarest 1 per box figs as literally no one else understood who characters were!?!:/ Nice vid man!:)

Scarlet Spider and Doc Ock was a defiinite shock to me, when they were released though, there wasn't much places selling Marvel Legends in Ireland... and I hadn't started collecting (but dreamed of doing so for a while at that stage) I might try and find a doc ock, or get the doc ock with silk and just PRAY for an updated scarlet spider.

The Hulk/Hulkbuster 2-pack was NOT a Target Exclusive. I saw an entire shelf of it being Clearanced at a Portage Indiana Meijer store. At least five packs were 5% off. I passed because 5% barely scratched the tax for it.

However, I'm heading to GameStop to get some of the Retro Spiderman villians currently on clearance. With 50% off clearance items its gonna be a big payday in 5 years when they become worth something LOL.

We're only 20 seconds in and this is exactly what happened to me with the most recent Walmart G1 Astrotrain reissues. 2:50 - I know exactly what you mean. There are times an entire wave of Transformers will just not make it to my area. By the time one wave sells out the next, next wave is next in the order queue.

At the Denver Fan Expo that happened this year, I managed to get my hands on the scream symbiote figure that cost $100 and a while ago at a toy store near me, I managed to get a the lasher figure for $90 which was originally $100 but the owner took $10 off for some reason.

Not to be a stickler but just for clarity, the Toybiz Dark Phoenix was a chase variant. The regular release was the standard Phoenix costume. So technically there were two green costume Phoenixs in the overall Legends line.

Took me forever but I finally got ahold of the hulkbuster 2 pack last year from a local seller. I don’t live near any targets so I never saw that pack. I did go to some targets when it first came out but never saw it in store. Luckily I had patience and ended up getting them in a lot of like 20 figures so it worked out better in the end anyways

First I love the videos and this one is a particularly fun one, but I feel like inflation and Hasbro’s price jumps definitely impacted the percentages, the man thing wave came out when legends were still $20 a pop, so one discount put them at $13. This whole wave has a pretty low floor, causing their percentages to be slightly inflated. Plus it was an amazing wave that didn’t get enough love at the time

Words like "discount" and "clearance" don't seem to exist at my local walmart. They have had the same 4 dusty OrokuSaki/HamatoYoshi 2packs for the same price over the last year. The Man-Thing BAF is one of my most wanted assortments ever. I don’t really collect live action figures much anymore but I love weird obscure Marvel characters and Man-Thing fits that bill. But the figures are good enough that I wouldn’t want to pass them up by just buying the BAF on ebay. Now I’m probably never gonna be able to get it.

Have/had them all except for retro Scarlet Spider. I have the one from the Rhino BAF wave. I didn’t see the need for another one with a different shading. I should have grabbed it. It was everywhere in my area when it released. Would have held it as an investment. The Space Venom Miles Morales figure is the second 6in Miles Hasbro released. Hasbro released a 6in Miles in 2012 as part of the Walmart exclusive Amazing Spider-Man tie in wave. Along with Andrew Garfield Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man movie Lizard. I had it, but sold it once I got the Space Venom version. The Walmart version came with a web shield and had a weird body. The body was too tall for Miles, and was a hodgepodge of existing parts. The figure was hunchbacked as a result. Don’t worry Big Nerdy. A classic Hawkeye with Skycycle is rumored to be releasing next year as part of the Avengers 60th anniversary Legends sub series. Hawkeye with Skycycle has been rumored for a while now. It was originally rumored to be released as part of the Ultimate Riders series. I guess since sales of Ultimate Riders were pretty inconsistent figure to figure its original release plan was changed.

I remember seeing Marvel Legends Nuke at the local Walgreens sitting there for over 1.5 years going through multiple $12.99 sale. I didn’t get it because I didn’t know the character. Then when they released Bonebreaker with Reese head I went to buy it but it was gone. I couldn’t find it at MSRP anymore either :(

The big one that frustrates me is the Hulk/Hulkbuster 2 pack. I saw it so many times and skipped it. It got clearanced and then it was gone. Sucks. Something that’s missing from the list is the Civil War War Machine and Disco Iron Man two pack. Initially it was $40 and then it dropped down to $20. It was my first marvel legends set and now it’s nearly $100 when I checked.

BBTS had the second retro wave (containing Vision, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Spider) at discount for a while. Should have bought several! I also grabbed Ghost Rider from Amazon for $32.
