I loved this video. I think people new to painting need to see how to work through the unlovely stage of a painting. I know I have problems doing that. I often feel like I ruin my drawings when I try painting them. Thanks for showing how you worked through the process.

Oh my gosh, Jane! I was literally LOL as you said exactly what I would have said to myself and in the same mindset. Hilarious!!! Super HUGE CHEERS 🥂 FOR BEING YOU, full of sparkle (I mean, of course, you ARE a gem), joy, honest transparency and your beautiful heart! You “know” it in your knower - which is spot on - when the lesson to be learned is more important than something we genuinely take very seriously…giving the best quality in every area. I just watched the whole thing and am SOOOOOOOO glad you posted this! Joy, joy, 🌧. Joy, joy, 🌧…… (forgot the word you said but that’s the feeling I associated with it, because like like with getting caught in the rain, we don’t have to stay there! ☂, go inside and snuggle up on the couch and watch a delightful movie and/or pick up the beautiFULL bright teals/blue and pinks and next thing you know we’ll be dancing 💃🏻 in the rain singing, “I’m SINGING in the rain ☔️, just singing in the rain. What a glorious feeling. I’m HAPPY😄 again….” I don’t know, Jane, I can see us as little girls playing dress up and never skipping a beat! You make my light shine again….every time. Thank you. 😘

Love this, Jane! Thanks for sharing. So many KZbin-artists only show their amazing work that looks perfect every time and from the start, but REAL artists make mistakes, not everything is a masterpiece - and definitely not straightaway...! It's like expecting an athlete to run at their personal best every time they run....our sketchbooks are our training, it's where we practise and try new techniques. The most important thing is to be brave, experiment and persevere. If you don't try out new things, you won't find out what works for you and what doesn't... Thanks for sharing this video, it's so refreshing to see an artist who shows a genuine process of making art. Love your work Jane 💕🌿💕 oooh and by the way, I've just got a couple of your eye shadow pastel sets, I'm really looking forward to using them . Such beatiful shades, especially the mineral eyes one. @Jane Davenport Just my 3¢...... BUT..... Can I just say how much you made me LOL in this video !!! And that's simply because your so very candid in what you say in your voice over! As well as the more current pop culture references you talk about as well!! It was a very very breath of fresh air that I fully enjoyed. Not trying to be negative or shitty in any way..... But I enjoyed it so much because it was real or at least it seemed real. As apposed to the more scripted spacific or edited Jane I feel like I have always been shown or seen in previous videos. Trust I understand why that is the way it is ..... But I hope to get to hear and see more of this Jane in the future !!!
