Stuff we use:
CAMERA - This is the camera we have used to film 90+% of our interviews (over 200 interviews and counting) It continues to be our workhorse - amzn.to/2u66V1J
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
AUDIO
Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/2t1n2hx
Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/2tbFlM9
LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv
COMPUTER - Our favorite computer, we each have one and have used various models since 2010 - amzn.to/2t1M67Z
EDITING - We upgraded our editing suite this year and we’re glad we did! This has improved our workflow and the quality of our work. Having new software also helps when we have a problem, it’s easy to search and find a solution - goo.gl/56LnpM

The best part is when he's asked if he could've ever imagined his movies making USD800M and he's like "well... yeah" xD It's so honest and I think to make that in the end you need to have some of that mentality. He's still really humble and doesn't think he's better than anyone, which is just really, I guess, pure.

The kind of interview I was waiting for. David Sandberg is just an inspiring Cinderella story from making home-made cinematic horror short films for streaming which went viral... to make of his 3rd film a superhero blockbuster! I still would love to see a David Sandberg horror movie shot in Sweden, his culture, his language, his vision, since they have beautiful cinematic horror pieces. His behind-the-scenes & tutorial videos are such a film school for me, and that makes him so down-to-Earth and very humble, being now a Hollywood filmmaker sharing his secrets not many of them would dare to do that. And he’s a fantastic film director! I still remember when viral film “Lights Out” came to my mail, and fell off my chair by how scared I was. And now “Annabelle: Creation” and then “Shazam!”... just WOW!!!

I’ve been making shorts for a while and more recently submitting to script contests. As I reach my 30s I find myself getting really depressed thinking I’ll never be able to reach my goal while maintaining life and work. Right now I’m working a job that leaves me absolutely no time to work on film projects and now I’m scattering to find something a little more doable with my goals. I found listening to your experiences starting out really refreshing. Thank you.

A really good interview and as a Swede, I´m very proud of David. But as a typical Swede :) I have to insert one minor complaint: I wish David would wait for the interviewer to finish her sentence before he would start to answer the question. Just out of respect for the interviewer. Other than that it was a really enjoyable interview and refreshing to hear some other answers than what is typically delivered in theses kind of interviews.

He's proud of Shazam? Wow. Next: Cats Part Deux. We all know holly wood (the wood used to make magic wands of the Druids) are multigenerational acting families and is CLOSED. There are a few here and there that are allowed to eat the poop or other nifty things required to be in high budget movies (take The Rock for example. He said you have to be willing to do ANYthing to make it, and he sure did ANYthing), but seriously, no one doesn't realize what holly wood is: ChiCom employees with the Moloch/Baphomet/other fairy tale here belief systems.

@@hellonhead5905, better sophistry and ad hominem attack, but unfortunately, if it's ONLY ad hominem, you concede you cannot attack my argument, but only _some projection of yourself as a person named jeff._ I humble accept you concede defeat. 2/0. Please try again. As an ancient chinese proverb once said: Place a rock in water and it sinks. Tie 3 rocks together, ..., and they still sink. Exactly, what was the theoretical benefit for trying to be insulting? You _do_ understand that the only time an attempted insult is insulting is when the _target agrees._ That's why I've always laughed my head off when feral humans go berserk when cliche insults are hurled at them: they believe it to be true. Otherwise, it's just sound signifying nothing. Like a queef. Food for thought, between your grammar school invectives. They do allow for a teachable moment, which is like pearls to swine anyways, as quoted by Keanu Reaves character in Cyberpunk 2077... I'm on a break from CP2077, so I could waste this time.
