1. That background in your room is 🤯 have you made 3D Printable versions of your stylized skulls on the wall? 2. Fantastic video! Going to be getting back into my zbrush training this year and knowing how to export for printing will be key

@UncleJessy thanks man! Big fan of your channel! I’ve picked up more than a few tips & tricks from you! 1. Glad you like the wall art, it’s a work in progress. I haven’t made printable versions of the skull yet, but I’ll jump on it! 2. Glad you enjoyed the video! Best of luck with your journey learning more about ZBrush, literally my favorite thing to do - digital sculpting!

Hi. Just a noob question. Do your mesh determine the smoothness of the object? Or its doesnt matter whether your mesh is good or bad as long as you have many polycouns?
@cre8-or-die
@cre8-or-die Ай бұрын
Hi Vero, yeah it's pretty much what you see is what you get. So if your model looks smooth in your computer than using the 3D resin printing process, it will end up smooth when printed. But yeah, actual clean topology or mesh is not important. Just high-polycount and making sure your model is "water tight"-meaning you model is enclosed you don't have holes in your mesh.

Hi! No problem decimating without dynameshing? I wonder if the printer will read the inside overlaps? Dynameshing the whole thing is giving me low res even at 4096 :/

@cre8-or-die 2 ай бұрын
Hi @rodolfo_23, I think the resin printer would still handle your model okay without decimation. That being said, if you want to fix your Dynamesh problem, scale your model up significantly then run Dynamesh. You can then scale it back down before exporting or just adjust the scale in your slicing app.

Thank you for sharing, amazing video from beginning to end love it! A couple questions if you care to answer. Are you using the paid chitu box slicer or the free one they offer? I don’t have a resin printer but a while back I was using the free chitubox to scale and slice model. It worked great until an update and then it didn’t work with my Mac computer. So my question is, chitubox work good on your Mac now? Another question is have you ever used or considered using the flex plates that attach to the build plate to pop off the resin models? And finally where did you get that resin printer foil cover from? Thank you I’m advance. Would love to see more videos of your process with 3dmodeling and printing in future. Thank you again for sharing! 👍🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@artist24seven1 - awesome! Glad you found this video helpful! To answer your questions - 1. I'm using the free Chitubox slicer and the latest version is working great on my Mac. 2. Yes, on my smaller resin printer I used a flex plate that attached to the build plate. I plan on getting one for my new bigger Saturn 2 printer, I just haven't been able to find one that's the right size yet. 3. I purchased the printer enclosure/cover from Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B0B24W5QXS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 (small) Cheers!

Hi @DylanLoudon yes, I believe it should fit a Saturn 3 Ultra no problem. Double check the dimensions, but the Saturn 2 has lots of room in there! Here’s my affiliate link to the enclosure: amzn.to/3U3RnFB

Hey man, Thanks for the video! Helped a lot!!! Got one question, how can I cut my model in zbrush? I have made a character but I want to cut his arms out of the shirt, that way will be easy to print and most importantly to paint. how Can I do that?
@cre8-or-die
@cre8-or-die 6 ай бұрын
Hi Bruno, glad to hear it helped. There are several different ways to do that, but the best way is using booleans and keys to ensure everything fits back together nicely after it’s been printed, prepped and painted. I’ll plan to do a video this week to show my process, or you can check out this video from Maxon: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipS9g42Kjd11ebssi=4-Mcwze3KukBoq-b

Noob question: mine shows 2 mesh when I import it in the slicer, why is it doing that?
@cre8-or-die
@cre8-or-die 11 ай бұрын
Hi @BreNerB that’s a good question. The only thing I can think of, is that there are duplicate meshes in your 3D app, maybe one is hidden? Then when you bring it into the slicer it shows all meshes hidden or otherwise. I would recommend trying a new blank scene in your native 3D app and adding a simple mesh like a cube, then export using the same steps I laid out and then import into the slicing software. If that works, then you can be sure that the issue was with your other file and it’s not an issue with the slicing software. Let me know if that helps you?! Good luck!

After dynamesh the quality will go out,how to get full quality
@cre8-or-die
@cre8-or-die 10 күн бұрын
This is a good question! You can make a duplicate of your mesh before Dynamesh and then use "Project All" under Subtool tab to apply the high-lvel detail from your duplicate mesh to the mesh you just dyanmeshed.
