Thanks for this video. I have some other projects that I might use this for. Would it be possible to do the opposite? I have a nice weather clock, except that the outdoor sensor is very inaccurate. I'd like to make my own temperature sensor/transmitter, but use the original weather clock.

Hi! Yes of coure it is. Perhaps you have to analyze little closer the first recordings after the power up. I mean those that make the pairing between the devices. But the Drarno shield can be used as a excellent transmitter with no problem, see for their home page wiki or Andreas Spiess' newest video for some examples. But the problem is that all these four microcontrollers are quite power hungry, they wouldn't work for one year with a couple of ordinary batteries, like the Dostmann thermometer does.
