What a wonderful interview! I am a fan of Ossiana's work and it's great to hear her insights.

Hey Walter, so nice to hear from you. Thanks for replying here as well and not only in Notes ^^ I also tend to answer there. It's a lovely social media space inside Subsatck, isn't it? I'm looking forward to our interview, Walter. Talk soon, Kristina

Hey Mister P, great name! At first, I thought you were my husband in disguise because his name is Patrick and we live by the sea ^^ Glad you enjoyed our short and sweet interview. Stay tuned for more, Mister P. See you soon, and best regards from the German North Sea, Kristina

@@_KristinaGod ha thats funny. Honestly your videos are excellent - and u helped persuade me to expand from medium only to also include substack. Best wishes from the UK south coast & english channel ;-) Pranath

I was in the same boat as Ossiana. I started my first Substack in 2021 and wrote an inaugural article to launch it but wound up getting sidetracked by other projects and life in general. I unexpectedly found myself returning to substack to write a piece called "The Great Pretender" and then started writing a few more pieces. I don't have many subscribers and I have never been monetized but I find Substack so easy and comfortable to use that I'm more than pleased with being on Substack.

Have you heard of Pledges? You can turn them on, and if someone thinks your story is worth paying for, they can pledge their support. I love that. It's helped me gain the confidence to offer a paid subscription and premium membership.
@_KristinaGod I'm aware of paid subscribers but not pledges. I don't really view substack as a way to make money from writing. I was a freelancer for 22 years So I my fill of that financial and business aspects of the freelance industry. It's easier just write on substack and leave it at that- for me.

I did a blog on Medium for 4 years after I retired from journalism in 2017. I had never written a blog previously so I didn't have anything riding on it. I had written freelance for magazines anyway so I didn't really think about other than on a piece to piece level.

Are you still reading and writing there? Maybe Fiverr would an idea if you want to continue writing and earning money :)
