Adding to this, If you are stressing about going back to the office your feelings are valid. It's okay to not want to go back. I love that Ashley provided actionable things you can do while going through this transition. Very helpful. Don't compare your life to the "people who might be looking for a job or in need of one". Your life is not their life and while you can show empathy your feelings are still valid. I can tell that Simone is coming from a good place with her encouragement but you are not alone in this struggle and I think it's important that you know that if you are struggling with transitioning back into the traditional, corporate america office way of life.

I'm still working from home. We were supposed to go back to the office in July but there are several issues behind the scenes ( Federal Government) so we're not being "forced" to go in. It initially was supposed to be where we go into the office twice a pay period but that has been discussed in a few months. Honestly, l have no desire to go back into the office. I get more done from home.

I get more done from home too. It helps that I live alone, but being in the office just means dealing with constant distractions. I'm not being forced to get back either thank god because I honestly dunno if I could put up with it LOL after 10 years already of commuting and open offices I have no desire to go back now that I've been WFH. They're super short on space at work so thankfully we have that going for us, logistically it's easier to have us at home

I’m Federal too and definitely do not want to return 🤷🏽‍♀️…..last update was they are working on a plan for a slow return (every Agency is doing their own thing)….we do everything we did in the office except physically touching the mail (so I would go 1-2x a month to assist with that)….but we shall see….I still just have to be thankful for working thru all of this.

Ash….I know it’s difficult to work and not want to cook. You can check into getting a pressure cooker and it supposedly cooks almost anything in half the time. I just bought one so I’m still learning how to work it. I can’t wait to get the hang of it because I’m tired of washing dishes. It helps a lot to already have you onions, bell peppers and etc cut up in a freezer bag.

I really love your videos for you show when we put God 1st he will help us during the course of the day with challenges and make all things line up. Also you come across well organized which is very helpful when handing work tasks. I been working from home for years (over 6) now and would not mind going back in the office maybe 1-2 days no more just to have a different vibe and break things up but I'm in the Masters Program so I may need to slow my role and do one thing at a time...lol. We have to be careful not to take on too much that will cause extra stress to our lives. You look really pretty and keep the content coming.

I worked from home as a RN case manager for a HMO. We normally work from home so the pandemic only changed our having to go in once a month for a meeting. I recently transitioned back to bedside nursing to get through my last classes of grad school and I had a breakdown. It was such a difference for me and my kids. Plus this new place is hell on wheels and I’m constantly wondering if I even like healthcare anymore. I seriously had to pray and stay in prayer because transitioning can be a strain.
