Getting the cut wet reduces the friction on the blade, makes cutting rubber much easier. Try it in the future. Just keep your hands completely out of the way of the blade path as the blade can slice through surprisingly fast when the cut is wet with water .

We came through Spokane on June 30 heading west. It was 110 at 4 p.m. We kept going to Moses Lake and took a spot at a private campground where we could get 30-amp power for the AC. We ran it until we went to sleep; The next day we headed to Seattle and when we went over Snoqualamie Pass the temperature dropped 30 degrees! Those successive heat domes were difficult to navigate!

Hi Debbie, My husband and I are huge fans of your videos and have watched just about all of them! Yours are the best!! We've been van camping for many years, first in our VW Westfalia Vanagon then in our VW Eurovan, which we've just put up for sale, because we bought a Roadtrek Zion. We agree with you that these camping vans are a great way to travel. I also sew and admit to being more than a little envious of you working in your brother's workshop :) I'm hoping to make a pattern for the front windows of our new ProMaster and am familiar with Sailrite, but would rather buy in the wider fabric your brother has. Once I figure out how much I need, would it be possible to just buy the screen from him. Your blanks wouldn't work on our vehicle. I'm also going to contact a screen company I've used to replace screens in our house (metroscreenworks) to see if they have anything that would work in case your brother doesn't want to be inundated with orders. If my screen works out, I'd be happy to share my pattern for the ProMaster if I can figure out how to distribute it. Anyway, thanks for all you do! Ronni (lovetocello on KZbin)

When you figure out how much you need, just let me know and I will coordinate with him. It is $10/ yard plus shipping. Mine requires 4 yards and I’m guessing yours will be in that neighborhood. His fabric is 72” wide. Insect netting is not what you want. The binding from Sailrite is quite stiff. You’ll need a sharp needle and an edge binder will help. Let me know if you have any questions. I can give you some suggestions. Energymaven@gmail.com

DEBBIE& JOHN. Hello, nice to help your brother & at same time figure out useful stuff for your Motorhome , that lady in blue with the RAM, was that a petrol. Or diesel? Their diesel, is from FIAT, whom owns CHRYSLER, the water level in LAKE MEADE, is @ its LOWEST LEVEL EVER, it is going to shut down the hydro electricity there !, I pray for rain out your way nightly , the fires are unbelievable, & a SHORTAGE OF JET-A FUEL for firefight on TANKERS for those fires . BTW, what is diesel costing you on the left coast ? It’s over $4 /gal here in NJ, happy trails, stay well , SAT24thwill be my 80th birthday , 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@FromShetoMe3 жыл бұрын
It’s over $4 but cheaper than regular these days. We don’t pay enough for the value it gives us. As far as water goes, you wouldn’t know there is a drought for all the green lawns around here. That’s another commodity that we don’t value properly. But like all the big issues we face, we treat them like technical issues when they are behavioral issues.

Can you please expound on your moonshade? We are considering getting one for our future rv instead of the traditional awning. Thanks
@FromShetoMe3 жыл бұрын
We use it instead of the awning because it works better if there is any wind. The awning will retract with the slightest breeze. Moreover, it can be placed on either side or even the back. You can also hang things from it like we did with the shower curtains to give extra sun protection/privacy. We've been using it for a couple of years now and would purchase again. Of course, if the wind is too strong, it will detach from the van. The magnets can scratch the paint but it also comes with suction cups. If you are short, you may need a ladder to place it high enough. The sliding door can only be partly opened when it is in use (but it is enough to get in and out) unless you leave the door fully opened. I'd love to get the awning removed as it weighs 200 pounds (but then we'd have to store it somewhere).
