God Woolie cooking with lore at 1:11:00 is one of my fave parts of tuning in. He might not be mr perfect lore, and maybe he'll miss some things sometimes but this kind of genuine passion, interest, and curiosity is so fun! Great to see him come to his own conclusions too on things rather than just listening to soulstubers like I do lol

A big part of the fun for me when watching people play Souls games for the first time is seeing how they interpret the lore because sometimes the incorrect interpretation can be as interesting to think about as the right thing. I actually kind of hate when people butt in and correct them. We already know the lore. I don't get wanting to hear the same stuff parroted instead of enjoying the wonder and mystery of piecing together a unique and incomplete interpretation of the world.

he's not even incorrect in this one specific thing we never got explanation why the second tree is there from anything i mean I have a theory based on statues and reliefs in Belurat is that Scadutree was the hornsent version of the erdtree and both of the people were not initially in conflict it just happened that everything connected to what Marika didn't want was already connected to scadutree, making it easier to banish, it was a blessing but a curse in disguise

Fires homing projectiles, spawns pillars and explosive novas. actually moves around the arena like the datamined cut Bed of Chaos. 3 phases that build up in intensity until the end when it puts up a pathetic last stand, using the last of its power to erupt repeatedly.

Its a tree with one big arm and nothing else, only two phases, doesn't really move for shit, and even if it was meant to be a "Spiritual Successor" its still one of, if not THE most lamest boss fight in DS3, the only thing it "Succeeds" is at trying everyone's patience. @@geneallen4711 What even is this reply? 😭 CRG is a puzzle boss that's a tree and BoC is a puzzle boss that's a tree (that doesn't move at all btw) and I think that makes CRG a more direct successor than the Avatar but I wouldn't disagree that the Avatar is a spiritual successor at all just that its more that it takes some ideas from BoC not that this is a new iteration of BoC unlike CRG and some of the original comments points were a reach to me. ("looks like a tree"... they're just both plants, BoC has one phase but the boss saves it's state and it doesn't move anything like any cut BoC I've ever seen). Beyond that though what does the quality of CRG have to do with it being a spiritual successor to Bed of Chaos? or are you also saying it's worse than the BoC in which case it's more a "spiritual regressor"? Have you ever fought BoC if that's the case?

Scadutree avatar is my favorite boss in the entire DLC. He's so fun, he's got the sunflower thing that Fromsoft loves, and he's devoid of a lot of the nonsense in the other DLC bosses.
