I don’t know what your port is for, but I had one in my chest for chemo. It’s an easy surgery with no after effects except for the anesthesia to wear off. I also had a pacemaker put in and it was almost like my chemo port surgery. Easy peasy. Best wishes for an easy surgery and recovery.
