Saw Front242 at club Visage in Orlando, FL in 1991. My dad said I couldn't go so I snuck out the window and went. I got in a lot of trouble but was definitely worth it!!!! Always and forever a huge fan. Great mix!!!

Why couldn't you go from your dad? I am from Belgium and remember they attracted some neo-nazi guys but the band themselves have always made it very clear they had no part in that or what these douchebags stood for. Hope that wasn't the reason. Glad you loved them. These guys are cool af. Great band.

trent reznor once said, he put more human elements in his music because "you can only listen to front 242 records so many times." LOL the older i've gotten, those NIN records went out around 2000 while i appreciate 242 more and more every day.

Trent made some good records, but he was a scene-hopper. 242 made the EBM scene and their music is timeless. Trent is industrial for people who don’t really like industrial.

Used to play all black vinyl with no labels on a Pioneer direct drive single channel (not stereo) with tube amp. not in box. It was just "Underground" clubbing . "Goth" or "Industrial" adopted later. Hooking up the power, nothing but a good pair of welding gloves was the only thing between you and death. Good food & good times in the Detroit area a hundred years ago in another life.

heard FRONT 242 in the eighties and was thunderstrucked from this moment. Baught all venyl LPs and later same as CD. They we’re the pioneers of techno long before Elektro and Techno started. Since then I‘ve been a fan. Unbelievable it lasts almost 40 years! Only a few years ago (maybe 2017) I saw them in concert in the „Turbine“ in Oberhausen Germany.

The fun part is...We played alot of stuff underground and never really knew the actual artists or track names, they came to us from local raydio stations to spin, the were needle in grove vinyl and were played with dish soap water sprayed on, so the labels disintegrated, I.D. numbers meant nothing except vaguely memorized to reference what it might be
