I love this early industrial sound, it really fits the name of the genre. I miss this harsh machine-like angsty sound.

This whole album was wholly under appreciated when it came out.

I loved both these albums when they came out. Totally different than anything else out at the time. So dense and layered, lush, full of texture and intricate sound design. Yeah, R23 was conspicuously absent, which puzzled me at the time, but whatever.

two great 242 albums in one year...1993 was a great year

A friend of mine gave me a promo copy of this album in 1992, about 6 months before it was released. He was a professional DJ/producer that had an in with the record label. So when 06:21:03:11 UP Evil was released, I was already familiar with the follow up 05:22:09:12 OFF. Friends were trippin when I was singing along during the CD release party.

I only discovered Front 242 from listening to early Revolting Cocks cds. Richard 23 was in Front 242 .

I never got into this album until I really listened to this song. Jean Luc DeMeyer makes everything better.

I know most fans didn't like the 2 albums. I didn't understood why and still don't understand it today.

+Völl Däpp Very underrated album and for me these two are uniques, are original music, and for me this album is pretty advanced and misunderstood in their times, even now. I fuckin' love these two albums!

Interesting! Although Front 242 was more of an influence on other industrial acts such as Front Line Assembly, it almost feels as if it's the other way around on this track. I like it!

Yea 242 kinda created the reference points of the sounds for Industrial/EBM. Other groups like FLA, KMFDM took it and elevated it.

Until it's certified platinum, it will continue to be under-appreciated, because that's what it deserves.

Memories of working the cafeteria full time. and living on campus at Illinois Benedictine College, in Lisle, IL in the summers between school years, listening to this , interpreting it with 2 battons, and a real ghettoblaster, out on the pathway in front of Neuzil, Kohlbeck, and Jaeger halls.....twirlin' from 6 pm until 10 at night....
