Hi Andy, 222 is the lowest strength threadlock available and it can't tolerate heat very well either. I'd recommend finding another product like loctite 246 for brake applications.

@Andy Mechanic 7:14 Shouldn't the old thread lock be cleaned of first before applying new? 13:35 You should center the forks on the axle by bounce the forks up and down several times before you tightening the right clamping bolt. If not the forks can create extra stiction/binding. Page 6-10 and 6-20 in the manual. Do it against a wall and not using the front brake, as it might restrict the fork from moving freely.

Hi Andy, I don't know if you've got the Nissin or Tokico calipers on that, but if they're anything like the Nissins on the 600 Bandit be prepared to change the seals and rebuild the caliper. The dust seals on the Nissins jam up the side of the pistons for a pastime and cause the brakes to bind. I almost expect to change the seals every time I change pads. Complete ball-ache.

Hallo fella, probably a dumb question but does it make any difference which side I put the discs on ie a left hand disc on the right side or vice versa, thanks Best regards
@AndyMechanic Жыл бұрын
No, not a dumb question. I'm sure they aren't handed on that model so will make no difference. Cheers Andy

Do you need to align the front wheel if you have taken it off for this bike
@AndyMechanic Жыл бұрын
Not the front wheel, should align just fine but make sure central to the calipers. Cheers Andy

Nice education! I learned something about brake discs on bikes, but I wondered if it would be cheaper to buy discs on eBay? For a pair? Just wondered :) great video! 👍👍👍
