Thanks man great info! Wish I had this a year ago when I did mine.. I packed that whole chamber with grease and I don’t think I set the castle but properly, my bearings lasted a year and failed 😨.. gonna do it the way you just showed which I think is the right way.. thanks for sharing buddy!!

Thanks for taking the time to help us learn the proper way to do this. I prefer to do things that aren’t overly complicated that don’t require special tools to save money, but also because I have very little trust in the local shops around me. Good, affordable, local auto repair shops are hard to find. Here today, gone tomorrow it seems. Thanks again.

Very very useful video, I’m sixteen doing front brakes on a truck just like this to give to my dad. I have a four wheel drive version where I didn’t have to do my wheel bearings, much simpler to say the least. Gotta love Chevy engineers right. Anyway love the video, THANK YOU!!!

Excellent info i just recently picked up a 97 c1500 2wd and these are alot different from the 4 wd with the axles and hub bearing so glad i found this video i wouldve beenlost on how to fix stuff. Love the step by step how to and tricks

Great video but about your choice of grease I like red and tacky too but GM calls for a moly based grease for bearings...?

When you talked about not using open brake fluid how do you feel about older wheel bearing grease. Mine is probably 10 years old but has been sealed since I used it last. Also when buying new rotors they don’t describe if there are new races or not. Do they generally all come with new races ? Great video, I learned something today which makes my day. Thanks, Steve

Nice video! What causes brakes to pulse. I had a set of disc I bought several years ago from Pep boys when they still had a parts store. I talked to the parts manager and he gave me another pair but they started pulsing shortly after I put them on, so I figured they were just cheap. I finally got tired of them and replaced them today with the upper level ones Autozone sold. And they don't pulse nearly as much, but still do some. Is there something else that could be part of the problem? Like maybe shocks or some suspension part that I can replace and see if that is the issue. Or for that matter maybe the the rear brakes?

I did my brakes because they made noises, the rotors and pads where in really good condition! I don’t think they had 5000 miles on them. Well the new set up kept making noises and even worse i jerk at low speeds like when the rotors have hot spots and rattles really bad when braking anywhere above 50mph Two weeks later i Got some drilled and slotted rotors and Keeps doing the same. I regret doing this lol any idea what might be wrong maybe i tightened it to much. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
