Front Bumper Cover Removal - C6 Corvette Build - 5

Time to remove the front bumper cover from my C6 Corvette. The process is pretty much identical for 2005-2013 Corvettes. The tools that you'll need are:
1. 9/32 socket
2. 10mm socket
3. Flathead screwdriver
4. Phillips head screwdriver
5. Torx T15 screwdriver
There are 4 bolts that you'll need to remove from the front of the bumper, right next to the hood, all 9/32nds. On each side, you'll remove the front Torx screw with your T15 torx screwdriver from both fenders.
Underneath the Corvette, you will need to remove 5 bolts (9/32) from each side to take off the scrape guards. Next to each of those is a 10mm bolt that needs to be removed from both sides.
Towards the middle bottom, there should be 5 bolts that need to be removed from the bumper cover.
Remove the 5 clips that are inside the wheel well that connect to the bumper cover, as well as 1 clip that's right next to it. That will give you access inside the bumper.
There are 2x10mm bolts that need to be removed from each side. Disconnect the amber lights and the fog lights and you're ready to remove the bumper cover. You can also push the amber lights out to have even more room.
Where the bumper meets the hood, raise the plastic from the 2 clips to dislodge the bumper cover. Close the hood and work the bumper cover off.

i got everything off and i was pulling my bumper off, and i found 6 bolts INSIDE the front bumper on the VERY BOTTOM. idk if someone before me put the bumper in wrong but it was hell pulling mine off

Do the 2 points at each top end of the bumper (next to headlights) have push pins? Both corner points are lifting on my bumper.

Yes. You can order replacements on Amazon. Common issue.

Longshot since it's an older video but what is the part that is in front of the wheel well with the red wire in front of it at 7:39? The black plastic tube that is right above where the deflectors go. Mines busted and I can't find it on a parts diagram for the front end.

The tube is the cooling vent for the brakes

There should of been four push pins on a bracket in the center of the bumper. Yours didn't have that?

Jeff Singer no. I think I mentioned that my car looked like it was hit. After removing some other parts, I noticed screws missing in other areas as well...the driver side fender was definitely removed at one point as well.

Don’t look like the fender bolts needed to be removed for this video.. maybe for the next video headlight removal
