Front/Central Intercooler Installation | Seat Leon Cupra MK2 | Stage 2

▶ In this video you will see step by step how I replaced the intercooler in Seat Leon MK2. Currently in the car there was an all-metal IC from the Audi S3. It is true that it is more efficient than the original IC, but not as efficient as the central one because it is mounted between the coolant radiator and the air conditioning radiator, so after the engine warms up, the IC is heated by the radiators, which decreases its efficiency.
▶ The front/central IC is placed in front of the radiator, so it is cooled all the time while driving and thus more efficient.
▶ After changing the IC, I noticed changes like:
- faster response to gas
- smoother screwing of the turbocharger
- no loss of power at the upper revs
- higher fuel consumption
▶ The car is currently before tuning so it's hard to say if the IC change itself affected the engine power. These are my feelings after the change.
▶ List of parts you need if you want to do the same in your car.
- Intercooler 550mm X 230mm X 65mm
- 1 - Aluminum reducer 51mm/63mm
- 15 - Clamp 74-79mm or +/- 2mm less
- 1 - Aluminum elbow 45⁰ - 63mm - 30cm
- 3 - Aluminum elbow 90⁰ - 63mm - 30cm
- 1 - Silicone elbow 23⁰ - 65mm
- 1 - Aluminum connector 63mm - 16 cm
- 6 - Straight silicone connector 65mm - 7.6 cm

Nie ja nie posiadam warsztatu tylko swój mały garaż w którym robię takie różne modyfikacje swojego auta ale służę radą oraz w opisie są wszystkie potrzebne części do takiej modyfikacji.

potrzebowałbym podobnego airboxa do tego stożka jak tu bo ten z zestawu nie pasował da się samo to gdzieś dostać?

Szczerze to nie mam pojęcia czy można gdzieś dostać samego boxa. Ja miałem w zestawie i widziałem do kupna też razem z zestawem ale osobno nie.

no właśnie osłona z zestawu mi akurat nie podeszła bo w tt 8j mam troche inaczej rozłożoną skrzynke z bezpiecznikami brakowało zaczepów i teraz zastanawiam się jak dorobić to samemu, ic też bym zmienił seryjny nie wyrabia

To może poszukać gdzieś na forach bo pewnie ktoś już może robił coś takiego lub podobnego a jak nie to ja bym próbował zrobić to samemu z kawałka blachy lub jakiegoś tworzywa sztucznego.
