We're back on the 1967 Chevelle today and we're buttoning up the 4 wheel disc brake conversion, after getting the rears converted from drums the fronts SHOULD be a quick little in and out since it's already a front disc car. Of course, that's not all it ends up being. The world of the classic car / american hot rod is there's ALWAYS something else just waiting for you to fix!
As a 502 crate motor powered manual transmission car, this thing is probably going to see a good deal of high speed driving and braking, so a good set of brakes we can count on are extremely important. Fortunately our friends at The Right Stuff and Jegs had essentially everything we needed to do this job in stock and ready to go. A bit of extra work, a few hidden surprises, and this big beautiful blue Chevelle is ready to hit the road!

I like the way Rich can take a break and walk away from frustration and come back later. Rich loves his test drives

there is a bracket that allows the pv4 disc/disc valve you have to sit right under booster on its side. just fyi. for future builds. make sure you have pv4 and not disc/drum one, which i'm sure you don't. nice video enjoyed it. !

When I was in high school. I'll never forget what the teacher told us. 99 percent of the parts on a automobile don't work, the car does not move. If the brakes don't work properly you don't stop. Thats kind of important. I tested his therie.on a 71Torino with rear brakes only. Yuup not even close to stopping. Fire hydrant stopped it right now, ruined my car. But he was absolutely right.

That booster should have come with a new rod. I just put a new booster on my Chevy K20 pickup and the rod that came with the new booster was shorter than the old rod so I just used the old rod.

A buddy of mine called me at work and askedd if I could stop by this guys shop and help with get the brakes done on a very cherry 55 big block so I stopped by and the pedal went to the floor he had been working on the brakes for almost a week,so I did the brake pedal and just laughed and he said what I said you dont have the right rod from the boooster to the master so we changed it out to the long, went for a road ttest and if you didnt have your seat belt on you would go through the windsheild, the guys said how do you do this on fixing cars

So, did lowering the brake rod to the lower hole improve the brakes? I missed that part
