Is it legal use if you haven't served the person with an eviction notice? what prevents the renter from replacing the whole lock when they know about this hack?

This would be good for controlling access. Tomorrow the key won't work. But my question is how does it change the pin combination...is it working on just one pin?

It still has 5 pins, theyre like half wafers when you reset it, it resets the wafers and automatically sets to the new key

If you are the owner you should have both keys. If you rent a flat then you'll have one key and the landlord has the other. In case you don't pay the rent, the landlord may lock you out after some warnings and have access to your stuff. If you are the owner but have only one key then it could make sense to exchange the lock

@@SeariderGirl no worries. I'm not in the US and we don't really have them here but one of the lock pickers did a video about them. They are designed for commercial settings or apartment blocks where heading keyed alike or quick change locks are needed. Old key in, unlock, insert reset tool, swap key, relock. One thing I will say though is never post pictures of your keys on the internet.

Yeah but when you make a new key, based on which cut ? How the key maker going to know which key cut do you need if you don't give him the old key to match it with ? I don't get it. 🤣🤣

You won't cut the old key coz you don't need it anymore. You need to cut the new one. The one that opens the door.
