I never get tired watching your garden tour. So pretty and uplifting. By the way, check out if your un named lazy hydrangea is a Kyushu because I have one like that here in Melbourne. Enjoying your garden while waiting for mine to wake up 😊.

Hi Tracy Your garden is looking as fabulous as ever. Do you think your unnamed lacey Hydrangea might be Kyushu or White Lady? I have both in my garden and it looks very similar. Enjoy your weekend. X

Hi Helen, I grew the plant from seeds so it’s interesting to know that there is a variety that’s on the market that looks like it. Thanks for letting me know. I will look it up and compare. 💚🙏💚

Are those Geraniums annual or perennial. They are gorgeous. Your entire garden are the bomb
@TracysHomeGarden Жыл бұрын
They are annuals for us. I take them indoors and plant them as indoor plants during the winter. I take them back outside in early summer. 💚🙏💚

Tracy, your garden is just beautiful. I am curious. What state do you live in? I live in South Carolina. My panicles never turn pink. I suppose it does not get cool enough at night in the late summer months. They perform beautifully in partial shade, but I never get the beautiful pinks.

We are in Toronto, Canada and our zone is equivalent to US zone 5a. 💚🙏💚

Hi Tracy, can we winterize the potted panicle hydrangeas in garages?
@TracysHomeGarden Жыл бұрын
Yes, garage would be best. Just give it a shovel of snow once a month. 💚

I'm not sure if you've previously mentioned having a firelight hydrangea, but my question is, if I deadhead the blooms on my firelight now (they've turned from pink to the brown), will I get more blooms before frost? Does deadheading hydrangeas encourage more blooms?
@TracysHomeGarden Жыл бұрын
I have tried this but have not been able to get the panicle hydrangeas to rebloom. I have done this to the smooth hydrangeas and they do rebloom. This could be because our growing season is not long enough for panicle hydrangeas to form new buds for the second flush. If you are in zone 7-8, the growing g season may be long enough for the early blooming varieties like Bobo and Quick Fire to form rebloom. Give it a try and let us know. All the best!

My little lime is green, not white...
@TracysHomeGarden Жыл бұрын
It was creamy yellow that turned lime green and pinkish green for me when I had it planted near the Quick Fire tree (back in 2020). Now in its new location the panicles are more of a creamy white…I actually am really stumped 🤔 and cannot explain why.
