Very cool video here. FRONT MISSION is my favorite SRPG series. I've played FM 1st, 3, 4 and Evolved, with 3 being my all time favorite. I have put in around 2500+ hrs. in FM3. I've played both storylines, unlocked every battle skill, and found every hidden character among other things in FM3. Been using the same saved game data since 2000, when I bought my physical copy for PS1. I had never played or even heard of FRONT MISSION before that and have been playing it since then. Even though I play other games, I always go back to FM3 at some point. You gave a lot of good points and I'm sure they will help a lot of newcomers to the FRONT MISSION universe. I also bought my first ever Switch about 4 months ago and got my physical copy of FM: 1st about 2 months ago. I beat the OCU storyline and am now playing the UCS storyline. For me personally, a piece of important advice I would give a newcomer is to invest time in the arena. Sure, taking missions on will yield cash and experience but, the arena will also give the player a chance to gain experience at a more leisure pace and after a while, it can yield far more in cash than missions alone, allowing for the purchase of better parts and gear.. If the player just jumps into missions impulsively, eventually the difficulty spike will cause them to hit a wall and potentially get frustrated. Hitting the arena often early on will ensure that the player levels up evenly and the difficulty spike will decrease as the game goes on. Again, pretty cool video here. Thankfully, Forever Entertainment just released the Oct. 5 release date for FRONT MISSION 2: Remake, just one day before my birthday! After that, it's just a countdown to the FM3 remake date! Can't wait!!! 👌👍✌️

#8 you can find loot hidden on the map, not just from killing enemies. There's a particular rifle on mission 15 that'll break the game for you if you get it. 99 damage 99 accuracy and what I assume is a hidden EXP buff because breaks/kills went from 200 exp to 800+ #9 if you get this weapon, put it on a weak unused unit and tackle the Arena. I was using Tommy betting 5k and getting 9.5 odds so pulling almost 50k a W.

what part of the map coz im there and cant seems to find it
For the first tip i want to add one more thing. Check the type enemy unit, if the enemy is attacker/missiler type then focus on them first rather than commander type. Commander type is stronger than attacker so sometime you need more unit and damage to your team to finish them rather than a few to finish the attacker type. For the 2nd tip you don't need to equip gun type on all unit, for some you can use punch / rod type depent on the skill and point after you check the pilot got. For the equip launcher type i think just equip one launcher, for other shoulder you better equip with shield. First it will help you defend your wanzer part and 2nd it will improve the dodge point to your pilot, and dont worry much about number of ammo cuz when you get the support car you can reload the laucher ammo from it. For the destroy parts i want to add one more tip that you can destroy the part then wait til they go back to the support car then surrond it there. Each turn when the wanzer stand next to support car the destroy part will restored with a few HP and you can easy destroy it again (especially if you got the Duel skill) and then wait for another turn to destroy again. The experience point you get for destroy part with high HP or low HP is the same so take this as a big advantage to train your weak unit...

@@ataridc ah, the mission introduce egret launcher for the first time. At first you can let him blow up without fail the mission if you think is too hard to save him. On the other hand if you want to save him then first you need at least 2 wanzers go up when the mission begin to approach the reporter asap to cover him (and pray a little bit that his wanzer not blow up before your team get there). For other three wanzer go straigh down to kill the wanzer that get the egret mission launcher first before it can fire back at you. With a few luck i think you can pass the stage.

This game benefits the most from save scumming in an emulator to maximize XP. Maxed out Roid can take that final evil doer in a single (triple) burst on his own when the right skills trigger. This remaster will be a wee bit harder. Well back then dual machine cannons with switch and speed and lots of missiles were king. Single shots while powerful are hit or miss. So machine cannons usually deal at least some damage.

Thanks for these tips! I've played FM3 & 4 and loved them both in a life changing way (not joking). But this game's mechanics are quite different from both. One thing i'm interested in is the timing of certain attacks. For example, in the arena, it seems like sometimes your enemy can get melee shots in before you launch missiles? I'm not sure how it works yet. But it seems like all the weapon types have a sort of unmarked speed or initiative rating to them. Have i got that right?
@TitaniumLegman2 жыл бұрын
It definitely seems that way. Melee appears to be missiles in the arena, whereas short range beats melee in most scenarios I've seen. In real battles of course long range weapons don't get countered by anything, so that puts melee in a poor position on the battlefield. Still high damage tho.
@robertcavanna7892 жыл бұрын
@@TitaniumLegman Indeed. I've been using melee as an alternative to high damage single hit weapons like rifles. They SEEM to have higher accuracy than those ranged weapons? Or maybe my melee experts are just better at that. Still getting the hang of this system. lol . On the upside, you can really armor up your melee wanzers with heavy parts, since the melee weapons tend to be much lighter than the high damage ranged stuff. Although ATM, i have everyone kitted out with a variety of weapons, for situational versatility, while also funneling them towards a specific expertise with a 'favored' weapon. BTW, i also wanted to ask, at what point do unlock pilot skills? I'm past mission 5 and still nada. :C

Hey man, thanks for the video. I need to ask, even if it's a little bit embarrising: Can I sell every part in the shop even those, that I have equipped? Because some parts do have the blue word on the left side "setzen". Does this mean, that those parts are in use on my Wanzers or not? Would be great, if you can do a video for this or if you have a suggestion. Thanks!
@TitaniumLegman Жыл бұрын
From what I've experimented with, it tells you you have some of those weapons equipped, but doesn't let you sell the ones you have equipped.
@russellg9622 Жыл бұрын
I just started playing this game but aren’t long range weapons by far better than everything else since it is the only type that doesn’t get countered (not including arena)?
@TitaniumLegman Жыл бұрын
That is a huge benefit, however they're limited by high weight, limited ammo and relatively lower accuracy compared to short weapons.

I played FM 3 and 4. I'm not sure how to approach Wanzer builds in this one, it seems less intuitive. In 3 and 4 it was clear which characters specialized in what combat roles.

Is this worth purchasing now? Or wait for a sale? Tactics ogre reborn is a great value but I have been seeing mixed opinions on this.
@TitaniumLegman Жыл бұрын
I'd say it depends on what you're looking for. This is not a remake in the same way Tactics Ogre Reborn is. Having never played it before, I'm enjoying my time with it, but the edges are rough than TOR. That said, at 20 bucks it's also much cheaper than TOR so personally, I recommend it. It all comes down to your personal preference tho, of course.

It’s not divide and conquer it’s called focus your targets. Divide and conquer is when you take part of your force and flank an opponent.
@TitaniumLegman2 жыл бұрын
It's a lot easier to focus fire once you've divided. One could even say that that's when you've conquered. In all seriousness that's my point tho. you divide up the enemy force by splitting your own forces, enabling a flank that allows you to more easily focus your fire on specific targets to bring them down quickly.
@leoanderson62262 жыл бұрын
@@TitaniumLegman best strategy is use lvl 30 fist finisher it goes 5 tiles away just sit back and wait till you have 3-4 ready to use and boss is dead also it is way easier to make a defensive line and just take down healer first then any mages then the dps and so forth and so forth. If the ai was like 3-4x better then yes you would need to divide and conquer. If you wait for them to come to you they won’t be there all at once it’s usually 2-3 one turn next maybe 1-2 more and 2 more turns before boss will start heading your way.

@Tavenknaughtlin12 жыл бұрын
"Divide and conquer" is a strategy in which you make your opponents fight amongst themselves, or in some way prevent an opponent from bringing all forces to bare in a unified front. It's about dividing the ENEMY, not yourself, in order to conquer them piecemeal.
@leoanderson62262 жыл бұрын
@@Tavenknaughtlin1 if I remember correctly that was divide and rule another Roman concept but yes divide and conquer did use division in others ranks but you had to divide there forces in combat and to do that you had a part of your force to cut off or divide them because having 200 Roman’s on both sides of 300 while the rest of the 100 are still trying to get to one of the groups of 200. Using that strategy you always win it’s easier to fight on one side then both what most armies would do is pin that group between them so they couldn’t move and then the spears would come in and make quick work basically a meat grinder.
