wait that base mechanic is gonna balloon unit count, thats a massive issue potentially as unit count is the most important stat in competitive advanced wars. I'm not interested in a three base map pumping out 10 infantry and two tanks a turn that sounds like a nightmare

The demo was fun I actually like that it is an Advance Wars clones. I liked Wargroove but all I could think was "this is too different from Advance Wars!" No more unique factions with commanders affecting your unit stats, no RPG levels getting ability bonuses. It is closer to Days of Ruins but I prefer Dual Strike.

Vanilla ware managed to do what took Nintendo 25 years to do with Fire emblem.

I loved Advanced Wars and was let down by the recent switch release. I'd give this game a try.

Sniper is so low on people’s lists but to be honest it’s so good to just throw on a back line with an ice/thunder tome user for the high initiative + row shot for row cc, or just straight up one shots the whole row of feather bows once you get to Albion and throw on a blind immune item. Definitely not OP but just criminally underrated imo.

I acctually never had much of a problem with this boss, but I had a terrible time against Big Shiee. If I don't have enough movement abilities then it's so hard to attack without failing to escape the exploding platforms.

I think I’d like this way more if it weren’t SO MUCH like an Advance Wars copy. Actually the graphical style reminds me a lot more of Wargroove than AW, I just wish this were more original.

I honestly loved the gameplay, leveling units/classing/skills, even some of the characters were lovely. I just didn't care for that main overall story. I loved the strategy of using the rings and what unit to put them on.

1.5 hours of gameplay and only one battle. Today, I learned what NOT to spend my money on. I want an SRPG, not a visual novel disguised as one.

If ever there was a reason for FFT to neither: a) remove random encounters a La TOR; or b) increase the allowed party size in any given battle? This video is definitely it. A shame that they couldn't pull it off but given how strong Monk is many comps would certainly struggle here. I honestly forgot about this encounter so it really was something to watch again. I didn't even recall that Auto was a thing in this game but seeing as how the AI performed it's best I continue thinking it doesn't exist xD I'll have to play this again by grabbing it on something...not sure where it's available these days actually..

I am not sure theres any match up knights could 5 v 11 and even come close to winning, even white mages would probably out attrition them with healing and holy.

I imagine they'd fare even more poorly against the ninjas fight (higher levels where they throw Chaos Blades and Javelin II's) or the behemoths and hydras one.

I don't know what's allowed for this challenge, but it certainly feels like a job for Bards/Dancers with Counter Flood

I've had some of the most INSANE encounters @ Finath River of course you know why but that place and just how you can get banked into corners by chocos has to be the worst map at least for me , I'll endgame just that map for the challenges , it's almost easier to solo that map then bring a crew

too bad they didn't go the ff tactics route; i didn't get unicorn because i want full control on each characters actions; hope they do that next ; a mix of aegis for storytelling and ff tactics for combat would be great

the story wasn't bad just not the best they could have made and it didn't help that at the time it came out people, where coming of three houses not to say is bad, just some of the characters in three houses are hard to like to me not to say I don't like them, I just don't find them interesting I found some story interesting in engage, but I feel like some of the villain's should not have been redeemable like most of the Hounds but other than that most games become good with age most there are some that if you go back to are still bad.(and if we get technical three houses is the out liner in the Series because it does things differently that the others like take out the weapons tringle and make the breaker skills with take up skill slots)sorry for the rant

Mimics are definitely Caculator-tier. It mimics the calculator and then the entire rest of the team. It's effectively 4+ units in one.

Ppl say they like the Charge system, but in practice do everything to circumvent it: Swiftness, Arithmeticks/Math Skill, Iaido/Draw Out, Monks, Spell Guns, Sword Skills Consider that Chemists are generally regarded as superior to White Mages Consider that FFT Archers are absolute garbage By endgame, the only Generic casters that could hang with TG Cid and Agrias were Arithmeticians and Summoners

Might sound odd to some, but I found Flanagan absolute bottom tier, only matched by Giovanna. He just felt like Erador except he traded away all his damage, and more importantly all his survivability for a bird. So sure he can go to try and tank, but then he just gets popped in like two bow or magic hits.
