I'm just starting to crochet (in fact, I bought my supplies only three days ago) and am learning all the stitches I need for a project I want to make. I thought this one would be really complicated and scary but honestly, with your explanation, I think I actually find it easier than the regular double crochet! Plus, it looks really neat. Thank you so much!

You made this so easy by being repetitive and showing it so clearly in your video. I l know granny squares and currently making a granny stripe throw and just started on a hat with the fpdc. Thanks bunches and I'll be returning for other videos.

Thank you, for clarifying to yo BEFORE inserting the needle in front or behind the post. That is an very important step to getting this stich correct. Thank you so much. I am working on my courage to try to make a cable stitch, but the instructions omitted the yo as a part of the front post double crochet. The result was a condensed unrecognizable ball (yikes!) lol

Helpful video! Just a tip: when teaching people to crochet, use the term "yarn over" as opposed to "bring yarn around hook," that way later on, beginners will recognize the term when it's written in patterns :)

I'm confused by whether you insert your hook before the stitch our after stitch. For example, if you're starting a new row and it says to fpdc in 3rd stitch from hook....do you first count over to the regular stitch, so you'd find the third stitch from hook...but then do you insert your hook in the hole to right of that 3rd stitch or in the hole after the 3rd stitch, so the fpdc would be just ahead of that 3rd stitch? I hope that made sense. Thank you.
@ApeXxWar7 жыл бұрын
Now I need to see how you actually start the row and end the row and turn to start new row. That is where I mess up. I always end up with more stitches than I should have?????
@bunnymaniscool1237 жыл бұрын
PsyGen Gaming to start you should turn your work, ch 2, yarn over, and then start in the second double crochet/post.

The pattern I am working on is *2 FPHDC, 2 HDC, repeat. I am confused as to what space the 2 HDC go in. I seem to be missing a few stitches at the end of the row.
@notswifemazonna74209 жыл бұрын
Question. When working the front post and then the next stitch is a double crochet, does the hook go directly in the stitch behind the already worked front post stitch? Or the next stitch over?
@ravertaking63434 жыл бұрын
Please explain how to do this: Ch 1, hdc in first 14 hdc, *skip next hdc, work Fpdc around next hdc one row below, working in front of Fpdc just made, work Fpdc around hdc one row below skipped hdc. Many comments on this pattern said it was confusing and I agree. It's supposedly an "easy" pattern. How many hdcs do I skip? Thanks.

Hi Jennifer👋🏼 I’m soooooooo glad that there is a name for this stitch bcuz my grandmother used to use that particular stitch when she crochet angels in the white cotton thread. I’m 57 years old & I would watch her crochet. I was never allowed to asked questions when she crocheted. So I had to watch her from a short distance. Would you happen to have a tutorial on the FPCS (front post coil stitch) I have just subscribed to your channel & I’m very very impressed. Thank you for sharing these awesome tutorials on KZbin. Do you have a Facebook page? I’m Toni Anderson Treadway on Facebook. If have any idea on that particular stitch could you inbox me on my messenger. If not that’s fine. I really really do like your tutorials. Again Thanks🤗
