Great video! I saw the launch of Apollo 16 in 1972. We were on a boat out on the Indian River, and we saw the rocket take off in the distance, but no sound. Then, we saw the water being disturbed, moving towards us, then the sound of the launch hit! It was an amazing, unforgettable experience!

This video really hit home for me. My wife and I recently found your channel as we get deeper into going RV'ing. I watched the Challenger disaster while sitting in class at Titusville High School across from the Cape. My Father spent over 60 years in the aerospace industry, and we were just recently able to spread his ashes at an undisclosed location at the Cape (prettysure you were there)...I really can't thank you enough for your continued adventures and safe travels!

I showed this episode to my Dad who now is wheelchair bound in a nursing home. He was one of the engineers on the Apollo project. He was so thrilled to see that NASA still uses the same rockets moving machines that they design back in the 60s! Thanks for making his day.

What an experience you had; you’ll not forget the feeling, the power or the deep sense of feeling like you were one with the astronauts. (You know that feeling!) It brought tears to my eyes. What an awesome video!! Great job. After reading the comments I reflected on past Apollo space missions and am so happy that a new program has emerged! My grandmother (born in the late 1800s) lived to see the night launch of Apollo 17. She was in bed watching TV and started weeping. My aunt asked her what was wrong and Grammy said she couldn't believe all of the remarkable things she had seen in her life. She was quite overwhelmed. My Pappi Retired from The Cape, very fortunate to not only seen the Takeoffs, also got too meet some of the Astronauts. We could see the Cape from our front yard and feel the ground rumble without even going to the Cape. Growing up on the Space Coast was awesome. Still remember The Challenger accident. A sad day, 28 Jan, 1986, they named a School after the Teacher in our town, Christa McAuliffe elem school.

Loved this episode!! I’m a huge space geek and practically lived at KSC during the 6 years I lived in FL and saw several Space Shuttle launches. I am also a NASA Solar System Ambassador, a public outreach volunteer role I have had since 2010. Thanks for bringing the excitement of a launch to maybe a new audience. And wow! A charcuterie board at a launch?!? What a great idea! Last week we had severe weather here in TX, and my parents came over to ride out the storm. It will always be a special place for me Kennedy space center. I spent a full day with my Dad there just the 2 of us looking at all the cool things. It was one of the few times I got my Dad to myself. I flew there from Canada and met Him and my Mom there from England. It was just awesome because unfortunately he passed away a year later so the last time i gave him a huge hug was when we were standing next to the wall of fame. Such a great national US treasure, if you have never been it is a once in lifetime place to visit.

Dudes, I'm sitting at home watching it on my tiny computer screen doing paperwork and right when its about to launch my eyes dart to the screen an I have basically the same reaction Trish had and now there is water in my eyes. To be able to do this, to launch a beautiful vessel carrying amazing humans to a space station to relive a few other people from another country...!!! EEEEEE! this is what humanity is about! I chokes me up every time I watch a launch! Maybe it's because it's the culmination of so much hard work and ingenuity by so many. I was at summer camp when they landed on the moon for the first time, and I'm so excited to see it again!

I just love u guys!!! Lol!! And Trish.....you are easily one step away from tears at any big event! I love you girl! We've been to Kennedy Space Center here or four times. We actually watched this launch from our house in Miami Springs! We are able to catch a glimpse of the rocket sometimes....even though it's just a dot due to the large distance. There is a great campground that we've stay at a where you can see the launches perfectly...just across the bay. It's called Manattee Hammock. Great place to stay if you want to catch a launch while staying within walking distance of your RV! Thanks for all the great behind the scences! Awesome footage guys!!!

I wish we knew you were there. Deena and I grew up in Titusville. We stay at Kars Park when we're in town. It has the best views of launches. You can actually watch SpaceX boosters land right across the water from the park. We were blessed enough to be there Dec - Feb and watched about six launches and we got to watch two boosters from the Falcon Heavy land right in front of us. It's one of those things everyone should experience at least once in their lives. Dan & Deena

Omg!! Where do I start? I would watch this channel if only one of you was on it. But the three of you together is classic entertainment! Caleb’s comment of the “check engine light” and then failing miserably at yo-yo while Trish modelled the children’s jumpsuit… I was in the hospital having a phlebotomy and nearly set off the alarms, as I fell out of my chair. Oh sure… it was a super-cool experience but man… entertainment plus!! Six thumbs up (yes,I’m all thumbs).

Our family had a 73/74 Concord, a cousin to the Champion. In 1975, we went to Florida for a family vacation, grandparents included. I bugged my parents to go to the Apollo-Soyuz blast off. Sixth grade science was all about space. We parked across the bay in the motor home with the crowd. It was so thrilling to see the blast off, although it was like seeing an ant in the distance. I have been wanting to get an RV since I was 18. I'm still looking....

Your front seat was SO much closer then our 'front seat' on Jan 15th when we got to witness the Falcon Heavy from a cruise ship! It was still pretty spectacular as well!! Love the area. We lived there for 3 years & saw many shuttle & rocket launches from our home & the kids' school. Such great memories! Manatee Hammock is a county campground we visit & it's right across the water of the assembly building. Nice place to see a launch as well. 🤞 Hopefully we'll see one in July while we're there.

Thanks. If you recall the bright light behind us when Caleb mentioned the check engine light. That wasn't there on the first attempt. Thus, we moved over to the much darker countdown clock (near the alligator) and then had the water and got that shot. So glad we moved! I can't believe my Canon picked that up so clear.

I was blessed to see the first shuttle launch after the Challenger accident and my awesome Dad rented an RV for our family all to be together and watch it. We’ve also seen a night launch and that was very exciting as you now have seen. And it was just that bright

We were there with our 3 kids in 1999 to see Columbia launch. T -7 seconds they scrubbed the launch. Took us 3 hours in traffic just to get away from there! Drove back over from north of Tampa 2 days later, this time, only one of the boys wanted to go. That launch was scrubbed due to weather! The next day, it finally launched but we never drove back over. Saw it launch from west coast. Would love to go back with my grandkids and see a launch someday!

Yup nice launch. I saw crew 2 launch. Just drove to the Cape from Orlando, headed north towards Titusville, pulled over paid $20 to park and enjoyed the show. Easy to see from anywhere along the coast near the Cape. Move video
