So excited to see this. I’m the supervisor at NASA/JSC for the Imagery Repositories, Libraries, and History Office. My husband was a Shuttle Flight Controller for 20 years and now works for the Orion Program. Thank you for spotlighting NASA and commercial space flight. It’s always a boost to see how excited people get about the space program. Launches are awesome. I hope you can stick around the Cape long enough to catch the launch.

You two really have come a long way from when you started out on a 6 month adventure with a travel trailer. I'm sure you have times when you marvel at the changes in your life. This interview is a testament to that. And speaking of that, WOW what a great interview. Funny when Kidd said he could go on for hours, I could have kept listening just as long, so fascinating. One of these days I hope to run into you, in my little teardrop. Well hopefully something a little bigger by then. Keep up the good work, and thank you for all that you share with us.

Loved this video. I have been fascinated with space flight since Yuri Gagarin first flew in '61 and then Alan Shepard less than a month later in Freedom 7. When I was stationed in Japan, our unit was the communications link for Apollo 11 when they were over Asia during the first moon landing mission. I was on duty and got to listen to the communications, but actually talking to the astronauts was done by the highest ranking guy on duty (not me). But a highlight of my life was attending a space shuttle launch at the cape. I am so glad for you guys to get to be at tonight's launch. You will remember it forever.

That was mesmerizing!!! What an incredible interview with someone who obviously has skills others can only dream of having, yet he’s so down-to-earth :) and personable. First and foremost, thank you for your service to our country Lt. Col. Poteet - wishing you all the best on your space mission this Summer. Marc and Trish - thanks so much for sharing this. I can’t wait to see next week’s video. Caleb had to have been over the moon on this trip with such an amazing, once in a lifetime experience.

This is a fantastic video and thank you so much for sharing!! As a Floridian in East Orlando, we're blessed to see some of the launches by just walking out my front door!! Obviously it's better when you're much closer. What a blessing to talk to Mr. Poteet and like other comments, I could listen about the space program and technology for a long time. I'm "young" enough to remember the Apollo program and everything since. Absolutely thrilled at how much SpaceX and other companies are launching at the Cape!!

This video is cool beyond belief for me. I grew up in Titusville in the 60's, my dad working for Martin Marietta at the space center, and we experienced the beginnings of space exploration. What an amazing time you all are having there! We had no idea! The excitement must be almost overwhelming. I still vividly remember July 20, 1969, and the landing of Apollo 11 on the Moon. I was fifteen years old, and totally plugged in to the event. I’m so hoping to live to see us landing on Mars. Come on Human Race! Let’s get together to explore, and hopefully colonize our Solar System! Well, Mercury and Venus are way to close to the sun to be hospitable, and the gas giants Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, are probably out, as well. Still, there’s the Moon, Mars, and possibly Europa.

Yeah! It is absolutely amazing that NASA invited you all to come and be a part of their mission. I am ever grateful that you share your passions, and now you are sharing mine! ❤️ I had the privilege of being a KSC/Kennedy Space Center NASA secretary from 1973 to 1983 when I "retired" to be a full-time mom. I was blessed to work in the Prototype Branch and then the Malfunction Analysis Branch. Both offices allowed me to experience such rare opportunities ... like driving the prototype Lunar Rover and watching a Shuttle launch while standing between the VAB/Vertical Assembly Building and the LCC/Launch Control Center being a couple of my favorites! Meeting astronauts was always a big plus. Your interview with Lt. Col. Kidd Poteet was soooo delightful - insightful and very informative! So now I am waving at you f4om across the Indian River 👋👋👋 because we live on the mainland, in Cocoa! Have a blessed stay with us in Florida ❤️ - Pat J. P.S. Unfortunately, you just had your first disappointment because, as I was typing my post to you, they just announced the mission was scrubbed this morning at T-2 minutes 30 seconds 🤔 so close, but not safe 🥴. The poor astronautes get to wait 50 minutes now to disembark the space craft, sigh 😕 But "tomorrow is another day!" I do hope your schedule is flexible enough that you can remain until you get to see the launch. Here is praying that you can stay and the launch is soon successful. 🙏🙏 So now it is time we all can get some sleep; I wish you sweet dreams of Brevard County, Florida ❤️🥰🥱😴💤💤

Very cool to see the launch. I grew up in the 70s and 80s. I remember the losses and the victories. My dad picked up Buzz Auldran (sp?) in the 60s. Dad was on the ship that was waiting after the first. The first ship couldn't get there so dad's ship went. Dad also got to salute President Kennedy when the Bay of Pigs was happening. I grew up in MA. We all watched Krista. This guy is so cool. So much knowledge and just fun science stuff.

As a fellow space geek this episode was great. Thank you. It is so nice to see someone pick up the torch the USA dropped and relight it. It is flaming bigger than ever. I love what Nasa has done. Unfortunately it is a government agency that turned into a money pit. The benefits of the space program were huge. SpaceX being a private business is making Nasa obsolete. Change is a constant so please let us keep improving! It is amazing what a few great individuals can achieve!
