Front Seat Ride Along in A 2016 BlueBird Vision School Bus W/ Cummins ISB 6.7L

My first time driving a Vision...don't get use to this because I don't plan on driving it again as it was very uncomfortable, but I did get a few videos out of it.

My 2021 Bluebird vision rides really nice, but I can't say anything about the driving, but my driver says it turns really good compared to the C2 which is what we have and has really good pick up

I like the Cummins better because it's considered a diesel and I have always gone on that bus for my field trip

Something that caught my attention too was, I noticed when you stop for the tracks, that you opened the door. Is that a state mandate? It's been a while since I rode the bus. Back in 2005 I don't ever remember our bus drivers doing that.

I wish that there was a 16 lamp incandescent light monitor on the blue bird. I think personally all school buses are required to have 16 lamp light indicators above the driver for all students to see

Well that monitor is not for the students, it’s for the driver. And it’s really actually kinda useless for buses with LEDs, although it still is nice to have.

I hate how quiet the Cummins B6.7 sounds, it’s silent and clattery compared to how a diesel is supposed to be loud and pronounced up front like a Cat C7 for example.

You know thats not how far the wheel goes up right? You have to give it extra force but it goes almost all the way up. My driver has it like a transit.

I can’t drive like that, I don’t want the wheel up. I want the wheel to go inward. Up and inward are not the same. And it was as far inward as it would go.

Was this your sub bus for the day? Also I never noticed that stubborn Allison Economy mode until someone pointed it out in a video. I hate this mode yes Diesel is expensive but like people have places to be.

The eco mode bogs the engine down and doesn’t allow it to go through the full powerband. Bluebird should understand that and make it able to disable.

@@charlesrodriguez7984 That's up to Allison they built the Transmission. Bluebird just makes the bus. Allison makes the Transmission and they would have to disable it.
