Thank you for this video! I was very frustrated with this design but the idea to only remove one bolt didn’t occur to me. It was still tricky to get the bushing out and in but within a few mins of trying I got it.

NOOOOO. Those bushing must be installed dry. Do not put any grease or you will have to do the job twice like me.
@Aziz-wl1xf4 ай бұрын
You can use vegetable oil since it’s gonna dry up fast and won’t damage the rubber. That’s what Hynes manual recommends
@irisbaez19724 ай бұрын
@@Aziz-wl1xf Wrong. Do not believe in Hynes Manual. I believe in what Happened to me. I asked a lot about this and all sop, dealers, mechanics do not recommend this with any grease. Must be dry like a bone. I put grease in a new one and starter to squeak noise.
@Sagemeister0074 ай бұрын
WD-40 is not a grease. It's a lubricant. Vegetable oil/olive oil are fine too.
@edag9609Ай бұрын
WD40 deteriorates rubber by drying it out. Best to use lithium. Or silicone grease.

Do you have to take the sway bar link because that aint move anything or loose anything?
@elchanojose5 ай бұрын
Hello! We did not have to disconnect the link but some times what worked for us might not work for others and they have to go one step farther on disconnecting the link kit. We did not disconnected the link. Take well care!

Recently I replaced my struts , control arms, sway bar links & bushing , the issue I’m having is my sway bar link is rubbing the bottom struts when turning L or R and clunky noise, how can I fix this ?
@elchanojose5 ай бұрын
Hello! Did you put them the way the old ones came out. Sometimes what end up happening is that we put them in the wrong way. To better help you on this issue, we are going to share the link to how we did the replacement on the front link kits to our Camry and how this can be helpful. Hello from Ohio! I have a 2017 SE and it makes a terrible noise when bouncing in the front. My thought is the bushings like you suggested. It only has 33K but I've read that the bushings are known to be a problem. Should I change them.... What do you think? Great video sir!
@elchanojose6 ай бұрын
Hello! Thank you for taking your time to watch our video and for reaching out to us with your really good question. If your car suspension is making a terrible noise when bouncing at the front, I would lift the car and do a visual inspection to see if the are any loose bolts or obvious problem. The bushings for the sway bar are not that expensive they are about $20 dollars at Autozone. The expensive part of this would be labor. Some times we think is this but it ends up being other parts. For peace of mind, have the sway bar bushings replaced being the cheapest parts and at that moment the person doing the job can see if other parts are needed to be replaced. Hope our point of view is helpful. Take well care!

Seems like Toyota would put the bolts from the bottom up. Instead of the top down.
@elchanojose22 күн бұрын
Hello! That is too much common sense and less business for Toyota on replacements. That simple bolt being bolted from the bottom up would make a big difference. But the mount would still have to be re positioned just a bit. Take well care!

Is it the same for a 2013 Avalon XLE hybrid?

Hello! We did some reference for the part and looks like is the same for the 2013 Avalon XLE hybrid. When you buy parts, always save the receipt for exchange or return. Take well care!

Nice video bro. I’m doing my 2004 Lexus es 330 bushings. I have basically done the whole front suspension and this has been the hardest part 😂😂. The bolts that’s under the subframe is rusted as hell and the 12mm won’t grab it I’m looking for a small vice grips and gonna try to use some heat again to get this mf out!!!
@elchanojose5 ай бұрын
Hello! Some times replacements can go so smoothly until the one bolt that is the most hidden and hardest to grab and will not cooperate to come out. Hope this issue is resolved on your side so you can finish replacing what’s left to do. Take well care!

@@elchanojose thanks bro. I ended up bending the bracket and sliding in the new bushing and bending it back down and re installing it 😂 hey it worked and on a 20 year old Lexus it’s all good

@@moisesgarcia3964 I re built the front suspension everything besides rack and pinion. I did rear links and rear bearings. My vaulve cover gasket is leaky and I need to do the engine mounts also my flex pipe is super rotted and loud as fuck but basically it’s my car I run to work and around town I got it for 3500. Even with the problems it’s a tank I drove it 6 hours away and never had a problem with it leaving me stranded and the car was pretty neglected when I got it not gonna lie lol

There’s a good in depth video on how to replace valve cover gasket on KZbin as well!

How much you would charge for this job?
@elchanojose6 ай бұрын
Hello! I have seen shops or mechanics charging up to $200 for a job like this. If I was to replace or do this job, I would start by calculating how many hours it is going to take me to do it. This job can be done in 2 to 3 hours depending if you have the tools for it. I would charge around $150 and up. This job can be challenging do to the limited space but in same cases you can charge more. Take well care!
